On the eve of today's vote to impeach deranged demagogue and corrupt seditionist leader Donald "Mango Mussolini" Trump, a CBS News poll indicates that 55% of Americans want Trump impeached for a second time in his term. Despite his own actions and words inciting the insurrectionist mob to attack the Capitol on January 6, a core of 23% of Republicans believe that Trump did nothing wrong that day or in the days leading up to the seditionist riot.
Echoing a theme of Republican apologists and enablers, some 88% of those opposing his impeachment say it would cause more division in the country, with 84% echoing Trump's veiled threat that impeachment would cause his supporters to "protest" more. The poll revealed that 85% of Dems believe that the Capitol riot was insurrection, while only 32% of Republicans describe it that way.
