As more and more intelligence is analyzed about the Capitol coup attempt, the outlines of a conspiracy to violently overthrow the government of the United States is coming into focus. Beyond the Congressmen involved in the Trump insurrection rally, and beyond the planning and explicit intent of groups such as the Proud Boys, Three Percenters and various Trump cult "militias" around the country to violently invade the Capitol and stop the counting of the electoral votes, it's becoming clear others were complicit, either through willful inattention or through direct participation, in this atrocity. Let's review:
FBI claims it had no indication of the coming violence were lies
A situational information report approved for release the day before the U.S. Capitol riot painted a dire portrait of dangerous plans, including individuals sharing a map of the complex’s tunnels, and possible rally points for would-be conspirators to meet in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and South Carolina and head in groups to Washington.
“As of 5 January 2021, FBI Norfolk received information indicating calls for violence in response to ‘unlawful lockdowns’ to begin on 6 January 2021 in Washington, D.C.,” the document says. “An online thread discussed specific calls for violence to include stating ‘Be ready to fight. Congress needs to hear glass breaking, doors being kicked in, and blood from their BLM and Pantifa slave soldiers being spilled. Get violent. Stop calling this a march, or rally, or a protest. Go there ready for war. We get our President or we die. NOTHING else will achieve this goal.”
We posted on the CYA finger- pointing going on among the various police over who- know- what- when and why nothing was done. Heads must roll at every federal, state and local law enforcement agency if and when it is proven that certain officials, either through gross incompetence or willing participation, abetted the insurrection against the United States government.
Republican Congressmen were giving "recon" tours for possible seditionists on January 5
Sherrill, a former Navy helicopter pilot, described seeing “members of Congress who had groups coming through the Capitol that I saw on Jan. 5 for reconnaissance for the next day.”
“I’m going see that they’re held accountable,” Sherrill added.
That could explain, in part, how the mob was able to find certain unmarked offices (Rep. James Clyburn) or obscure but important ones (the Senate Parliamentarian). Rep. Sherrill should be supported in her efforts to hold any guilty parties accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
Trump knew in advance what was likely to happen at the Capitol
The ex-White House and campaign insider, who has known both [Deputy WH Chief of Staff for Communications Dan] Scavino and the president for years, said there was no way that Scavino and the Trump social media operation would not have been aware of plans circulating online to storm the Capitol. That’s because the operation closely monitored the web’s darkest corners, ranging from mainstream sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit, to fringe message boards like 4chan and 8chan (now called 8kun) to TheDonald.win, an offshoot from a banned Reddit community dedicated to rabidly supporting all things Trump.
“He has a full staff that supports his efforts, so he has a full digital team at the White House, a full digital team at the RNC… and the PACs, and don't forget the Trump family still has on staff digital folks that he trained…. so he has at his disposal 18 to 22 people to work with him,” they explained. The former White House and campaign official, who has known the president and many in his inner circle for years, said Scavino “has the president’s ear” and as such would undoubtedly have passed what he was learning online.
Trump's insurrection speech to his moron MAGA cult on January 6 is cited in the Article of Impeachment likely to be passed today. That he knew about the likelihood of an assault on the Capitol beforehand, did nothing for hours while his knuckle- dragging mob ransacked the Capitol and threatened lawmakers, and continues to defiantly deny responsibility for his actions, should propel every Representative or Senator to vote to remove this cancer from power. We'll see who stands up for America today and in the coming days.
Then, as facts emerge, we'll see who else took part in this assault on America and respond accordingly.
BONUS: Meanwhile, the Joint Chiefs of Staff have sent a memorandum to all active duty military telling them "Any act to disrupt the Constitutional process is not only against our traditions, values, and oath; it is against the law," and that Joe Biden will be inaugurated and "become our 46th Commander in Chief."
