My Pillow Crank Banned From Twitter

Mike Lindell, the CEO of My Pillow and a frothing MAGA/ QAnon conspiracy nut, has been permanently suspended from Twitter:

Twitter has permanently banned My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell’s account after he continued to perpetuate the baseless claim that Donald Trump won the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

Twitter decided to ban Lindell, who founded bedding company My Pillow, due to “repeated violations” of its civic integrity policy, a spokesperson said in a statement. The policy was implemented last September and is targeted at fighting disinformation.

This is coming just days after Dominion Voting Systems gave notice of filing a defamation lawsuit against Lindell for his bonkers claims about voting fraud involving their equipment.  His products are also no longer being sold at several major retailers.

Keep digging that hole, pillow guy!

I'm on Twitter, but it's a small range of people and I certainly don't follow Republicans because who needs the stress. But from the side of the public, things got much calmer when Trump was silenced and no one could retweet his ridiculous comments. And now Mike Lindell, who's considering a run for Congress in his state, has had his virtual piehole shut. It's not censorship when you refuse to post seditionist, Nazi-based lies.

I know that cutting Trump off has helped the country because he's detrimental or just mental. The less we see and hear from these guys, the better.

donnah -- exactly. Cutting off their media oxygen has been long overdue (especially in Trump's case). The level of social media misinformation dropped 70-some percent after Trump was kicked off of Twitter, according to one estimate. These arsonists shouldn't be allowed to cry "fire" in a crowded theater without repercussions.
