Sunday Reflection: Innovation

"Innovation has nothing to do with how many R & D dollars you have. When Apple came up with the Mac, IBM was spending at least 100 times more on R & D. It's not about money. It's about the people you have, how you're led, and how much you get it." -- Apple founder Steve Jobs, who launched the Macintosh personal computer 37 years ago today along with partner Steve Wozniak. The impact the Macintosh has had on personal computing and design, and our culture, is considerable.

Mock me if you must, but we've been Apple people since early on. I had the first of the clamshell style laptops, the blue one. We've had MacBooks, iPods, iPads, phones and watches. My husband just got a new Apple computer iMac setup for his home office.

We're not blind to the downside of how Apple is sometimes conducting business but we have been extremely satisfied with their products and service. We're loyal and we're happy.
