At some point in a future lead by wiser men and women, before any person is allowed to run for political office they will have to endure a battery of psychological tests to ensure they are mentally stable.

Given the idiot Alabama just elected to the US senate, I'd go with a basic intelligence test to make sure they understand basic civics.
