Jimmy Kimmel uses sociopathic snowbird Sen. Ted "Coup" Cruz (Hypocrite-Cancun) as a piñata for most of his monologue, and it's wonderful.
BONUS: Ted Coup not only abandoned the citizens of Texas, he left the family poodle Snowflake in their cold, darkened home in Houston, supposedly cared for by a security guard. Guess his daughters made him do it.

The fact that Ted thought he could jet his family to Cancun during a massive crisis and not get feedback and criticism for it in itself is galling. I hope he gets run down hard by everyone and I wish he had the sense to be ashamed, but we know that isn't the case. He scurried home asap because he knew he had stepped in it and spent an entire day making up for it by rushing to news outlets to try to cover his ample ass. He blamed his daughters, another class move, and then claimed he was being a good dad.
My dad was a good dad, If my sister and I whined that we were bored, he didn't fly us to a beach. He suggested that we find something to do, or he would give us something to do.
Also, underlying all of this absurdity, the fact that he left his state at its most vulnerable time of crisis, is that he violated Covid rules about not traveling to other countries. Ted is just a giant a-hole.
