The stain on the State of Wisconsin, Russian disinformation peddler and seditious conspiracy monger Sen. Ron "RonAnon" Johnson, keeps gaslighting the January 6 Capitol insurrection, just days after claiming that he never felt threatened by the white supremacist mob because "they love this country" and the cops that they assaulted.
Now he's asking you again to believe him and not your lying eyes. At a Wisconsin conservative political event this past weekend, Johnson said:
"There was much more violence on the House side. There was no violence on the Senate side, in terms of the chamber."
First, note the lamely transparent attempt to assign the scene of the violence to the Dem-controlled House, rather than the Rethuglican Senate side. Of course the target of the mob was the electoral vote confirmation being conducted in the SENATE CHAMBER by former VP Mike "Shoo Fly" Pence, whom the mob was seeking to hang. Pence had to be evacuated and the Senate adjourned because of the approach of the rioters (temporarily diverted by Capitol Police officer Eugene Goodman). Multiple photos of the rioters in the Senate chamber after it was evacuated give lie to Johnson's fable. Pics of such memorable clowns as the QAnon "shaman," the zip tie guy, and the monkey man abound:
However, RonAnon wants you to erase these images from your mind, and to repeat after him, "Nothing to see here, move along. Trump is still President."
