Tracking Down The Seditionists: The Technology

Roughly 400 seditionist thugs have been arrested to date by the FBI and other law enforcement for their part in the January 6 Trumpist insurrection. Many of the initial tips on their identities came from acquaintances and even family members who recognized them on news reports or on social media. The proliferation of smart phone videos smugly posted by the moronic insurrectionists themselves helped law enforcement to round many up. For those that were more difficult to track down, law enforcement has been using facial recognition and location tracking technology, among other tools.

Citizen sleuth individuals and organizations have also assisted law enforcement by spreading images of the rioters. Individuals across the country use some of their spare time to use open-source intelligence and crowdsourcing to compile "dossiers" on individual rioters and provide the information to law enforcement. Some of the cybersleuths use facial recognition tools -- like facial recognition website PimEyes --  to scan open source sites for matches. SeditionHunters is one of the groups tracking down the violent seditionists through their network of social media-smart colleagues.

It's of utmost importance that the insurrectionists be apprehended, tried and jailed for their violent attempt to overturn an American election over the "Big Lie." Help the FBI by going to their site and spending some time to see if any of the faces are familiar to you. These seditious thugs will act again to undermine our democracy if they're not stopped.
