The immortal jazz great Louis Armstrong was born in New Orleans 120 years ago today. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential and talented jazz musicians, with a career that spanned 50 years and different styles of jazz. His versions of "I Ain't Got Nobody," "Hello, Dolly,!" "What A Wonderful World," and so many more recordings made him a hugely popular and successful cultural icon, and one of the greatest ambassadors of jazz. As our tune today, we're featuring his 1950 version of "La Vie En Rose." (Note: TMC is running movies with Armstrong in them today -- good stuff.)
