Strand of Oaks, a project by Austin- based Timothy Showalter, released a single, "Galacticana," several months ago. He's performed with Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires and members of My Morning Jacket, though his bio reads like he's had many stretches of bad luck. Let's hope this single helps him get over the hump.
