Devastating flooding in South Sudan has ruined crops and uprooted lives in an unimaginable way. Photographer Peter Caton for Action Against Hunger, in his series of stunning photos "Unyielding Floods," photographed some of the people of South Sudan who are suffering their third year of terrible floods, floods brought about by climate change. The UN estimates that over 700,000 people have been affected by the annual, climate change-driven flooding. For his work, Caton received first place, International Photography Award for 2021 in environmental photos for "Unyielding Floods."
