SNL's cold open took on the Rittenhouse trial, Build Back Better, and the Malignant Loser (James Austin Johnson) riffing incoherently, all on the Judge Jeanine (Cicely Strong) wine/whinefest. It's getting harder to satirize the increasingly unhinged pathologies of the rotted out, far- right Republican Party, though they're trying.
