"This is preventable.  The best way to avoid serious illness is the vaccine.  So, get vaccinated and get your booster.  An keep taking all of the standard precautions like social distancing, washing your hands, and of course, mask up -- even if you're vaccinated.  If you do feel sick, get tested for COVID-19 at your local pharmacy, urgent care or physician's office.  Not the ER.  Then encourage neighbors, friends and family to take all these steps, to.

"We need you to care as much as we do." -- full page ad copy published in today's Cleveland Plain Dealer from six health care facilities in Ohio:  the Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth, University Hospitals, Summa Health, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and St. Vincent Charity Medical Center.

Earlier this month, hospitals in Minnesota published a similar plea in newspapers across the state asking for people in that state to take the same mitigating measures:

Tomorrow, President Biden will address the nation on the omicron variant situation, stressing the dire need for the unvaccinated to get their shots, for the vaccinated to get their boosters, and to take proper precautions much like what the hospitals are asking people to do.  Sadly (?), even though their cult leader has been boosted, many millions of the Malignant Loser's followers will ignore the life- saving advice.
