There's no more pitiful excuse for a person than Texas Sen. Ted "Cancun" Cruz. Period.
We're all familiar with Cancun Cruz's cowering obeisance to the Malignant Loser (ML) even after his wife was insulted and his father was smeared by the ML. Cancun Cruz even rightfully called the ML "a sniveling coward" and a "pathological liar" before embracing him like almost no other politician in recent years. So, we have ample evidence that Cancun Cruz is a man without principle, honor or a spine. Yet he imagines himself the heir to Trump World, should the ML bow out of running in 2024.
That would at least explain his groveling performance on fascist fop Tucker Carlson's hour of hate yesterday, where he furiously backpedaled an accurate statement he'd made, calling the January 6 insurrectionists "terrorists:"
Ted Cruz on Thursday walked back his use of the word “terrorist” when describing the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol during an intense back and forth with Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who repeatedly questioned the validity of the Republican senator’s explanation.
Cruz was lambasted during Carlson’s Wednesday night show for describing Jan. 6 as “a violent terrorist attack on the Capitol.” During his Thursday night appearance, when Carlson asked him why he used the word "terrorist," Cruz brushed off his previous phrasing as “sloppy” and “frankly dumb.” [snip]
“What I was referring to are the limited number of people who engaged in violent attacks against police officers. I think you and I both agree that if you assault a police officer, you should go to jail," Cruz said. "I wasn't saying the thousands of peaceful protesters supporting Donald Trump are somehow terrorists. I wasn’t saying the millions of patriots across the country supporting Trump are terrorists.”
“What you just said doesn’t make sense,” Carlson fired back, accusing the senator of playing into Democrats’ narratives. During the segment, the show's chyron read: “TUCKER TAKES ON SENATOR TED CRUZ.” (There have been murmurs that Carlson, too, might run in 2024.)
(As an aside, that would be a match made in demagogue heaven: the trust fund totalitarian and sniveling weasel Cancun Cruz.)
It would be something if Cancun Cruz weren't such a transparent, phony windsock trying to come across as macho (that beard!) but who consistently ends up publicly nut- punching himself. Pitiful.
