Admittedly it's just one poll, and warm feelings can cool quickly, but this is good news for John McCain President Biden:
If the mission for the President last night was to reassure the American
people and be forceful in addressing not just Putin's war and domestic
issues (inflation, the ebbing pandemic, culture war hot buttons), you'd
have to say the speech was a great success in the face of unprecedented
political polarization. You can put us in the "Approve" and
"Optimistic," "Proud," and "Safe" categories, too. Let's take this as a win for our side (Democrats and democracy) and move on.
