House Minority Leader, and would- be Speaker of the House (third in line for the Presidency), Rep. Kevin McCarthy (Seditionist-CA) has been caught in a lie about his actions days after the Malignant Loser's failed Capitol insurrection and coup:
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s latest denial fell apart in record time.
McCarthy on Thursday denied a New York Times report that said he told other lawmakers he would call on then-President Donald Trump to resign in the days after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, which had been carried out by his supporters.
But audio released shortly afterward by the Times shows otherwise.

You could also add that McCarthy is a traitor who puts party (and, specifically, his own political future) over country, which put him solidly in the mainstream of that rotted out, Christofascist cult/party.
