Hawaiian singer- songwriter Paula Fuga teamed up with fellow Hawaiian singer- songwriter Jack Johnson to record a single, "If Ever," for her album "Rain on Sunday," which was released just over a year ago. Ben Harper, an accomplished pop/blues/jazz multi- instrumentalist in his own right, added lap guitar to the recording.
We heard the song before we saw the video, which contains scenes of the windward and north shores of Oahu, where this Hackwhacker recently visited. Riding along Kamehameha Highway, you're treated to brief scenes of Kualoa Regional Park and Mokolii Island (a.k.a., "Chinaman's Hat"), Kapapa Island, the Waiahole Poi Factory, the steep Koolau Range, and further along Sunset Beach and Waimea Bay on the north shore.
