This morning, President Biden welcomed Finnish President Sauli Niinisto and Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson to the White House to underline the U.S.'s support for their applications to join NATO, which were submitted yesterday at NATO's Brussels headquarters.
All 30 members of the alliance must approve their applications, with Turkey holding out thus far over those countries' alleged support for Kurdish organizations that engage in terrorism. Multilateral talks with Turkey are underway to resolve their objections.
