A sound soon to be heard in American woodlands from the Atlantic coast
to the Rockies, and one of our favorite bird calls, is the song of the male
wood thrush. Henry David Thoreau wrote of the wood thrush,
"This is the only bird whose note affects me like music. It lifts and exhilarates me. It is inspiring. It changes all hours to an eternal morning."
To us, it's a sound that brings back memories of sun-dappled forests of childhood.
Take a few moments to relax, reflect, and enjoy.
