Japanese-British singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama broke into the UK's music scene in 2018 with her debut extended play "Rina," and later toured the UK with music star Charli XCX, barely leaving time to graduate from Cambridge University in 2020 with a degree in political science. She's been nominated for and won numerous awards for her music in just these past four years (BRIT, NME, GLAAD, AIM Independent Music Award, etc.) and won the "Woman of the Year 2019" accolade from Vogue Japan. Her latest album, "Hold The Girl" is due out in September, but she's released a video of a track from that album, "Catch Me In The Air," which is our song choice today.
