"Missing" Secret Service Texts Due Today (UPDATED)

This morning is the deadline for the Secret Service to produce the "erased" text messages from their agents on January 5 and 6 to the House Select Committee on the January 6 Capitol insurrection. The Committee has received conflicting information from the Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security's Inspector General as to the availability of them, with the Secret Service claiming that they had the "pertinent" text messages from those days. The texts could prove significant in determining the actions and statements of the Malignant Loser on those days, including confirming that he demanded to be driven to the Capitol to lead his violent, armed mob, and to challenge and disrupt the certification of the Electoral College votes:

"The focus on the Secret Service has gained new urgency since last month, when a former top West Wing aide testified about a confrontation between Trump and his security detail on Jan. 6, after the president was informed he would not be driven to the Capitol to join the protest there. The aide, Cassidy Hutchinson, delivered that explosive account secondhand, and some of the agents involved have since disputed it, albeit not directly.

Given the discrepancies, the select committee is aiming to cast a wide net when it comes to the Secret Service, which on Jan. 6 was protecting not only Trump but also his vice president, Mike Pence, who was a key target of the violent mob that stormed the Capitol."  (our emphasis)

The Malignant Loser apparently had some cult members of his among his security detail, one of whom, Tony Ornato, he promoted to Deputy Chief of Staff, and who would have first hand knowledge of the Malignant Loser's directions and mood. Another matter is who was behind the Secret Service's attempt to remove then-VP Mike "Fly Guy" Pence from a secure location in the Capitol, which would have delayed or cancelled the Electoral College vote certification. Pence refused to leave, and stayed to complete the official procedure.

UPDATENeed to investigate this and see some heads roll --

The U.S. Secret Service has determined it has no new texts to provide Congress relevant to its Jan. 6 investigation, and that any other texts its agents exchanged around the time of the 2021 attack on the Capitol were purged, according to a senior official briefed on the matter.  [snip]

The agency, which made this determination after reviewing its communication databases over the past four days, will provide thousands of records, but nearly all of them have been shared previously with an agency watchdog and congressional committees, the senior official said. None is expected to shed new light on the key matters the committee is probing, including whether Trump attacked a Secret Service agent, an account a senior White House aide described to the Jan. 6 committee.

This broken, Malignant Loser-infested agency is in charge of protecting President Biden and others in his administration.  Think about that.

Ornato would not have been promoted if he did not have his head deep in trump's ass.

One Fly -- And there's plenty of room for more agents there....
