“Listen, Ron DeSantis, one more Venezuelan speaking here. And, well, just grateful for the little prank you pulled on us.
“You hit a home run.” -- unidentified young Venezuelan migrant speaking to a crowd at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Martha's Vineyard. The larger ramifications of the latest craven political stunt pulled by DeSantis have yet to play out, but his primary purpose scoring points by "owning the libs" on Martha's Vineyard and elsewhere was a flop since the good people of that island weren't "owned," but rather welcomed the migrants humanely with food, clothes, and shelter.
