Soon-to-be former Sen. John Cornyn (MAGAt-TX) is reflecting on his stinging loss in Texas' Republican primary to sleazy criminal adulterer Ken Paxton after the mentally unfit and vindictive Malignant Fascist endorsed him:

On the MF's next two years: “He’s going to have the most miserable two years of his life in the last two years of his term, I think, because I think November is going to be a disaster.”

On the MF's "loyalty": “If he would do that to me, he would do that to anybody. There’s never going to be good enough for him, other than 100 percent, you know, slavish adherence to whatever he wants. But obviously that’s not what the senator’s role is supposed to be, especially in terms of checks and balances.”

On his remaining time in the Senate: “It does give some of us a little more freedom, and certainly leverage. As the president told President Zelensky when he was in his office a year or so ago — he said, ‘You don’t have any cards.’ Well, we’ve got some cards to play.”

We'll see if he actually plays those "cards" with some significant votes coming up. He and other betrayed MAGAts could help to make the next six months "miserable" for the MF, too.

At the same Dessler link as above, Dr. John Balbus, who was formerly at the Department of Health and Human Services as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Climate Change and Health Equity, comments on HHS Secretary "Brainworm" Kennedy's lies about vaccines.  The recent firings of career scientists at the Centers for Disease Control over their refusal to support Brainworm's anti- vaccination propaganda, in addition to many hundreds of others who've gone public with concerns about politicizing science at HHS and the Environmental Protection Agency (only to face suspension or possible firing) led Dr. Balbus to comment, "When you see nearly a thousand public servants risking their livelihoods to alert the public that senior officials cannot be trusted, that is a clear warning."
