Court Strikes Down Vindictive Subpoenas

 

A Federal judge has thrown out the vindictive subpoenas issued by the corrupt Malignant Fascist's "Justice" Department against Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, AG Keith Ellison, and a number of Minnesota officials in retaliation for their efforts to resist the MF's siege of Minneapolis' immigrant community, and to bring justice to the victims of ICE and Border Patrol violence last January.  From the Associated Press:

"A federal judge has blocked an attempt by the Trump administration to subpoena Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and other state officials, accusing the Justice Department of using its investigatory powers to retaliate against state officials for not cooperating with federal efforts to crack down on illegal immigration.

In a ruling unsealed Monday, U.S. District Judge Patrick Schiltz found the 'dominant purpose' of the subpoenas was to 'coerce Minnesota officials into assisting the federal government with enforcing civil immigration law and to harass and retaliate against them for failing to do so.'  [snip]

The subpoenas seeking records were served in January as part of an investigation into whether Walz and other officials obstructed or impeded law enforcement actions. They were sent to the offices of Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her and officials in Ramsey and Hennepin counties.

The ruling is the latest rebuke by the federal judiciary of Justice Department efforts to aggressively implement the Trump administration agenda in courts and target the president’s political adversaries through subpoenas and similar demands."  (our emphasis)

Meanwhile, murder victims Renee Good and Alex Pretti have still not received justice because the MF's regime refuses to cooperate in the investigations into their murders at the hands of the MF's goon force.

Tim Walz is reacting to the un-Constitutional freeze that the deeply stupid Malignant Fascist put on federal spending last week.  The memo announcing the freeze has been "rescinded" by the Malignant Fascist's asshats, but 22 states took the matter to the federal court system, where the freeze has been temporarily blocked by a second federal judge.  Now watch what a smart, relatable, confident Democratic leader sounds like:

 

"We'll see you in court."  Boom!  He goes to the top of our list for "Democratic Party quick response spokesperson."

ICYMI, here's Gov. Tim Walz's acceptance speech at last night's rocking DNC.  We confess that we lost it at about the 8:00 mark when Gov. Walz lovingly addressed his family's struggles with infertility and his tearful 17- year- old son Gus said, "That's my dad."  At that moment it felt like the coach was everyone's dad.

QOTD: MAGA Geniuses Coin Another Nickname

 

From The Guardian's Arwa Mahdawi, a rebuke of the moronic and misogynist MAGAt nickname referring to Gov. Walz's assistance to public school girls. Not the genius move these clowns think it is:

"Watch out world, Republicans are on the offensive. Still smarting from being called “weird”, it looks like a bunch of GOP strategists got in a room this week to workshop devastating nicknames for Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz. After combining their dozen or so braincells, they came up with a winner: Tampon Tim. The name has been trending on social media as people on the right desperately try to make #TamponTim stick.

Apart from the fact that it alliterates, what prompted this moniker? Well, in 2023 Walz signed a wide-ranging Minnesota education bill that, along with a number of other provisions, mandated public schools offer free menstruation products in their bathrooms.

To anyone with an ounce of common sense, this sounds like a great thing to do. Tampons are expensive! And 'period poverty' – the inability to afford menstruation supplies – is a serious problem in the US. [snip]

All of this to say: thanks for the nickname, guys! Rather than being the insult they think it is, Tampon Tim is a compliment. One that reinforces the fact that the GOP is suffering from a severe case of Toxic Schmuck Syndrome."  (our emphasis)

The nickname reeks of what a group of middle school brats would come up with to bully a classmate, doesn't it? When the context is explained, the attack is sure to backfire on them bigly, as their other attacks on Walz have been.  It's not surprising that the Malignant Loser's cult would find compassion and helping girls a laughable thing, since their view of women in general comports with views held in the 18th century or in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.
