Fascist gym rat and Russia's useful idiot Rep. Marjorie Taylor "Traitor" Greene is leading a resolution in the House to support an audit of funding going to Ukraine's defense against Russia's brutal invasion. Falsely comparing Russia's military invasion to the immigration across the border with Mexico, Greene was joined by fellow insurrectionist apologists Reps. Matt "Teen Spirit" Gaetz, Andrew Clyde, and Thomas Massie. From The Hill:
"The resolution is being led by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and backed by a group of GOP lawmakers. House and Senate lawmakers from both sides of the aisle supportive of continued U.S. assistance to Ukraine say these colleagues are part of a minority fringe.
But the resolution, which calls for preserving administration documents and communications related to Ukraine funding distribution, speaks to other criticisms among some Republican lawmakers who support aid to Ukraine but say more oversight is needed."
This resolution, coming just days after the House was retaken by the Republicans by a slim margin, will be music to the Kremlin's ears as winter descends on Ukraine and its power and water utilities have been severely damaged by Russian missiles. It also comes at at time when Ukraine has momentum on the battlefield, and Russia is retreating. Greene made it clear that she thinks she has a green light from spineless opportunist Rep. Kevin "Qevin" McCarthy, who earlier signaled that a Republican House wouldn't be giving Ukraine a "blank check":
"Greene referred to remarks from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) who had earlier said Republicans are not going to send a 'blank check' to Ukraine, in responding to criticisms within his party over American assistance.
'You’ve heard Leader McCarthy say publicly that he doesn’t see very good odds for much funding for Ukraine going forward in a Republican-controlled conference,' Greene said." (our emphasis)
Along with "investigations" of Hunter Biden, Critical Race Theory, Merrick Garland, and Jewish space lasers, this and more is what we can expect from House Republicans in the coming two years. But, unlike in recent years, Dems appear to be readying counterattacks and media campaigns to foil them as much as possible. Give it to them hard.
