Panicking Trump Kicks MTG Out Of His Pedophile Protection Cult

The increasingly desperate Dementia Don is Big Mad at former MAGA star Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), so much so that he "excommunicated" her from his cult via his sad social media platform last night.  After a bizarre litany of highly dubious "achievements," grievances, and projections that mostly exist in his deranged, narcissistic head, he told the "wacky, "ranting lunatic" he would support a primary challenge to her:

Of course, the real reason the BFF of pedophile sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein cut Rep. Taylor Greene out of his pedophile protection cult was that she defiantly wouldn't go along with his coverup of the Epstein- Trump files (she was one of the original "elite pedo child trafficking ring"/ Pizzagate conspiracists).  What a shock that you didn't see him mention that salient fact in his screed!

He must see this as a powerful warning shot to other Republicans who might dare to vote on the discharge petition next week and pass the Epstein Files Transparency Act, but it looks increasingly desperate to most others.  One only need look at the polls to see which side the American people are on. In a cult already showing signs of defections over inflation and foreign workers (H1b visas), severing relations with a prominent MAGAt over an issue the Malignant Fascist ran on in 2024 is bound to create more turmoil and suspicion in the tinfoil- hat wing of the MAGAt cult.

What he's trying to hide must be some really catastrophically bad stuff, such that he's going to these extremes to keep it covered up.

BONUS:   She said it herself --

Marjorie Taylor Greene on Trump: “It’s astonishing really how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level.”

Dueling Amendments -- Ukraine Aid Edition

In response to an amendment to the Supplemental Appropriations Act offered by braying MAGAt loon and Putin agent Rep. Marjorie Taylor Traitor Greene (R-GA) demanding that any Member of Congress voting for aid to Ukraine be required to enlist in the Ukrainian Army (checkmate!!), Democratic Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) countered with this amendment:

Whereas Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14) has repeatedly attempted to block aid to Ukraine, empowering Vladimir Putin's unlawful violation of Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Whereas Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14) has reposted information from the Strategic Culture Foundation, a Russian based disinformation and propaganda channel that has been sanctioned by OFAC.

It is the sense of Congress that Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14) should be appointed Vladimir Putin's Special Envoy to the United States Congress.

Entirely fitting and well- deserved trolling!  She's clearly an important cog in Russia's foreign policy goal of undermining and exploiting U.S. and other Western nations' weaknesses.

Republicans In Disarray -- Greene Does Trump's And Putin's Bidding

Braying gym rat Rep. Marjorie Taylor Traitor Greene (Sedition-GA) continues her threats to depose Squeaker "MAGA Mike" Johnson over the Ukraine aid package:

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene bluntly warned Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday that moving ahead with an aid package for Ukraine would be one of “the most egregious things he could do” as she said she was “not backing off at all” over her threat to force a House vote seeking his ouster.

In a phone interview with CNN, the Georgia firebrand said GOP voters were “furious” at Johnson over his recent deal-cutting to keep the government open and suggested that she wouldn’t accept any package that included more funding for Ukraine in its war against Russia, even if it included some border security provisions.

The congresswoman, who plans to speak with Johnson on Friday, warned against moving any Ukraine bill with significant Democratic support under a process known in the House as “suspension of the rules” – a practice Johnson has employed repeatedly for must-pass bills amid deep divisions within the GOP ranks.

“Let me tell you, when he forces that vote, again, under suspension with no amendments, and funds Ukraine and people find out how angry their constituents are about it, that’s going to move the needle even more,” said Greene...

We can't have the government staying open, passing border security legislation and aid to Putin's enemies!  My lord the Malignant Loser ordered us not to!

Giving in to this nihilistic nutball to the detriment of our national security would be yet another sign that the Christofascist Republican/ MAGA cult is completely and utterly off the rails, along with its cult leader.  There's also the continuing infighting among the asylum inmates:

...Greene also took aim at a fellow GOP hardliner: Good, a Virginia Republican who is battling to hang onto his seat ahead of a June primary. Greene has endorsed Good’s Republican opponent, John McGuire, in the race.

Last week, Good attacked Greene, telling CNN: “Nobody cares what Marjorie Taylor Greene says or thinks. And she’s a one-man show, she’s grandstanding and she wants attention.”

Greene responded on Wednesday, saying she planned to campaign in Good’s district as she attacked him for backing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the GOP presidential primary over Trump, noting he backed the Florida governor as Trump was facing criminal charges but later endorsed Trump after DeSantis dropped out of the race. She said she has relayed her concerns about Good directly to Trump.

“You can’t even bring up another example of a backstabber like that, that I can even think of,” Greene said. “He is strictly only supporting Donald Trump because he has to. He’s such a liar.”... (our emphasis)

She must know that being a liar is one of the litmus tests for membership in the Christofascist Republican/ MAGA cult, along with being a destructive dumbass-- both prerequisites she's passed with flying colors.  To the voters in Georgia's 14th Congressional District:  you are who you vote for.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Doing Putin's Bidding Again

The ammosexual gym rat representing the nimrods of the 14th district of Georgia, Marjorie Taylor Traitor Greene, decided to wait until President Biden was concluding the successful NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, to announce her latest performative stunt:

Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia is calling for the U.S. to withdraw from NATO, claiming that the alliance is "not a reliable partner."

Greene on Tuesday proposed an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that would direct President Joe Biden to "withdraw the U.S. from NATO." Biden met with other world leaders at the NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, on the same day, pledging that the U.S. would maintain its "ironclad commitment" to the alliance.

The Georgia congresswoman has repeatedly spoken out against both NATO and the U.S. providing any kind of support for Ukraine amid its ongoing war with Russia. Moscow's "special military operation" was sparked in part by objections to the expanding borders of NATO and Russian President Vladimir Putin's demand that Ukraine commit to never joining the alliance.

Greene said that she wanted the U.S. to withdraw for economic reasons while announcing her amendment, arguing that other NATO members were not paying their "fair share."

That last line, if it sounded familiar, it's right out of the playbook of fellow Putin pal the Malignant Loser.

People not serving as useful idiots of war criminal Putin know that nothing has served America's strategic interests over the past 70 years as much as the NATO alliance.  This all- mouth, no- brain MAGAt has not a shred of perspective on that, or much else.  Rather, she's emblematic of the rot that's eaten her party and thrown off the political balance in this country.  Let's look at just a few of her greatest hits:

Greene has promoted antisemitic, white supremacist, and far-right conspiracy theories, including the white genocide conspiracy theory,[7][8] QAnon, and Pizzagate.[9][10] Other extremist conspiracy theories[11][12] she has promoted include government involvement in mass shootings in the United States, allegations of murder against the Clinton family, and 9/11 conspiracy theories.[13][14] Before running for Congress, she supported calls to execute prominent Democratic Party politicians, including Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.[15] As a congresswoman, she equated the Democratic Party with Nazis, and compared COVID-19 safety measures to the persecution of Jews during the Holocaust,[16][17][18] later apologizing for this comparison.[19] During the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Greene promoted Russian propaganda and praised Vladimir Putin.[20] Greene identifies as a Christian nationalist.[21]

In a more perfect world, she would never have been elected, much less have risen to the point where ostensible "Squeaker" of the House McCarthy praises and relies on this Putin useful idiot to hold onto power.  That's a true marker of how low the Republican/ Seditionist/ Forced Birth party has fallen.

Republicans Seek To "Expunge" Trump's Impeachments

Not satisfied with their failed attempt to impeach President Biden on the most bogus accusations, fascist House Republicans are seeking to "expunge" the Malignant Loser's historic two impeachments.  MAGAt queen Rep. Marjorie Traitor Greene (Insurrection-GA) and the cynical, ambitious Rep. Elise Stefanik (Insurrection-NY), introduced resolutions to wipe the Malignant Loser's impeachments from the record, despite dubious authority to do so:

"According to Stefanik, the House Republican conference chair, if the measure were to pass, it would be 'as if such articles of impeachment had never passed the full House of Representatives.'

As ridiculous as this might sound, the push isn’t coming out of nowhere. Let’s revisit our earlier coverage and review how we arrived at this deeply foolish point.

It was in early 2020, just two days after his first Senate impeachment trial wrapped up, when the Republican first broached the subject of invalidating what had happened to him. 'Should they expunge the impeachment in the House?' Trump asked during a brief Q&A with reporters. 'They should because it was a hoax.'”

Trying to erase history, whether black history or Presidential history, is in the radical right-wing Republican wheelhouse. Moreover, this corrupt and cowardly bunch of Trump bootlickers are seeking the Malignant Loser's approval and the donations of his rabid cult in advance of the 2024 elections. We'll see how this performance-art-as-politics resolution fares, although it won't change the historical record for future generations to read and the shame of their cult leader.

Boebert And Greene Fight On House Floor

Displaying the decorum that both are famous for, fascistic MAGAt Reps. Marjorie "Traitor" Greene (Sedition-GA) and Lauren "Bobo" Boebert (Sedition-CO) engaged in a verbal altercation yesterday in the House of Representatives. The Daily Beast has the details:

"The angry exchange came as the two lawmakers have been swiping at each other over their competing resolutions to impeach President Joe Biden. But tensions came to a head on Wednesday after Boebert leveraged a procedural tool to force a vote on her own impeachment resolution within days—undercutting Greene, who had offered her own resolution, but not with the procedural advantages of forcing a vote.

Greene apparently cursed out Boebert while the House was voting Wednesday afternoon, as the two spoke in a center aisle of the House floor; part of their interaction was captured on C-SPAN’s cameras.

According to two sources that saw the exchange and a third familiar with the matter, the back and forth began when Boebert approached Greene—then seated in the chamber—and confronted her over 'statements you made about me publicly.' All three of the sources said Greene called Boebert a 'bitch.' One of the sources said Greene called her 'a little bitch.'”  (our emphasis)

These two cretins were actually fighting over their pathetic, wheel-spinning resolutions to impeach President Biden over some made up violations of the Constitution (or for nothing at all). It's going nowhere, as House Squeaker Rep. Kevin "Qevin" McCarthy indicated in the article, since they'll never get a majority of votes to pass it. But that won't stop these two from their performative politics to appeal to their mouth-breathing, reactionary supporters. SAD, but hilarious!

Lost Causes

Oliver Willis, having witnessed the latest example of the corporate media rolling over for fascists in the form of Lesley Stahl's tongue- bath of Rep. Marjorie "Traitor" Greene on last Sunday's 60 Minutes, is convinced there's no hope in expecting that media to change.  Instead, he offers two responses for progressives:

Stop holding fire on the media. Criticizing the press isn’t the same as Donald Trump declaring them the “enemy of the people.” Press criticism is a long-held American tradition and while it is unlikely to produce real change in the underlying dynamic, it at least educates others about the media that is being consumed. Most politically active Americans are terrible at media literacy and don’t understand that a lot of this coverage is bad. They wrongly view the press as neutral and give the people pushing Greene and Trump and the rest too much of a benefit of a doubt.

Promote progressive media and progressive breakthroughs in the mainstream media. Liberals don’t need the equivalent of Fox News, digital cults devoted to worshipping Republican politicians. But there isn’t anything wrong with a fact-based news outlet with a progressive point of view (and yes, I work for one). Similarly, it is worth it to reward progressive breakthroughs within the mainstream media with attention, showing political leaders that their messages can work while showing mainstream media gatekeepers that it isn’t only right-wing coded stories that can add to their bottom lines (the only thing they really care about)...

We would only clarify that Democratic elected leaders at all levels need to be much more aggressive in calling out Republican- friendly media malpractice.  There are worse things than not being invited back on a program or to a reception -- like losing your democracy.  They should take a cue from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who knows how to deliver an appropriate, timely punch.

The corporate media is not going to challenge the burgeoning fascism being offered by the Republican/ Seditionist Party;  we know that from the last 8 years, and that the only thing that matters is getting eyeballs on the product and money in the bank (and Fox "News" isn't alone -- see Moonves, Les).  They're going to give the fascists as much print and air time as they need as long as the profits go up.

We don't usually quote Lenin here, but what he purportedly wrote rings true, to the effect that capitalists will sell you the rope to hang them with.  Problem with that today is that all our heads, and democracy's, would be in the noose.

Marjorie Taylor "Traitor" Greene Take Note

In anticipation of tomorrow's circus in Manhattan as the indicted Malignant Loser is processed through the system, New York City Mayor Eric Adams had this message earlier today:

"While there may be some rabble rousers thinking about coming to our city tomorrow, our message is clear and simple: Control yourselves. New York City is our home, not a playground for your misplaced anger. We have the safest large city in America because we respect the rule of law in New York City. And although we have no specific threats, people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is known to spread misinformation and hate speech — she stated she is coming to town. While you're in town, be on your best behavior."  (our emphasis)

Then again, maybe a nightstick applied to her head or a face full of pepper spray might be therapeutic.

Numbers Don't Lie

News Item: Wingnut Rep. Marjorie Taylor Traitor Greene proposed an amendment that would have prevented President Biden from selling oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. How did the House vote? 418 - 14 opposed (only 13 Republicans backed her). Though Marge sees herself on the Malignant Loser's ticket in 2024, the Malignant Loser doesn't like losers... except himself.

News Item:  Interviews with 59 of the 168 members of the Republican National Committee, which is meeting today, revealed that only 4 offered their unqualified support for the Malignant Loser in 2024, while 20 said he should not be the party's nominee, and 35 said they'd like to see a big primary field or didn't state their position on their cult leader. As one committee member said, "This isn't 2016. People have moved on." As the Malignant Loser would say, "Sad!"

Tweedledim Vs Tweedledumb

In a clash of Titans, it's Tweedledim vs. Tweedledumb:

Far-right Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) traded blows on Monday in a disagreement over the next House speaker.

At a Turning Point USA conference in Phoenix, Boebert criticized Greene for backing current House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) for speaker.

“I’ve been aligned with Marjorie and accused of believing a lot of the things that she believes in,” Boebert said. “I don’t believe in this just like I don’t believe in ... Jewish space lasers,” she added, referring to one of Greene’s most widely-ridiculed conspiracy theories.

Greene shot back on Twitter, accusing Boebert of “high school drama” and noting that the Colorado Republican won reelection on a knife’s edge.

“I’ve supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. President Trump has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. Kevin McCarthy has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. She just barely came through by 500 votes,” Greene tweeted.

“She gladly takes our $$$ but when she’s been asked: Lauren refuses to endorse President Trump, she refuses to support Kevin McCarthy, and she childishly threw me under the bus for a cheap sound bite.”

Observers have noted a barely- disguised antagonism between the two MAGA morons since they both found themselves seated in Congress in 2021.  Thirsty for the spotlight, the two have been circling each other looking for opportunities to attack.  Now that they've taken opposite sides in weasel Kevin McCarthy's bid for Speaker, the rift has been laid bare once again.

If this is what we can expect for the next two years as one faction of Republican crazies goes to war with another faction of Republican crazies, we say -- more please!

The Extreme Right's Pro-Kremlin Fifth Column

The Guardian has a lengthy and important story about the pro-Kremlin right in this country, and how they are taking war criminal and thug Vladimir Putin's talking points to an American audience. The first paragraphs of the story are disturbing:

"Ever since Russia launched its brutal war in Ukraine the Kremlin has banked on American conservative political and media allies to weaken US support for Ukraine and deployed disinformation operations to falsify the horrors of the war for both US and Russian audiences, say disinformation experts.

Some of the Kremlin’s most blatant falsehoods about the war aimed at undercutting US aid for Ukraine have been promoted by major figures on the American right, from Holocaust denier and white supremacist Nick Fuentes to ex-Trump adviser Steve Bannon and Fox News star Tucker Carlson, whose audience of millions is deemed especially helpful to Russian objectives.

On a more political track, House Republican Freedom Caucus members such as Paul Gosar, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Scott Perry – who in May voted with 54 other Republican members against a $40bn aid package for Ukraine, and have raised other concerns about the war – have proved useful, though perhaps unwitting, Kremlin allies at times."  (our emphasis)

Tucker "Mothertucker" Carlson in particular has been an avid disseminator of Putin's messaging on Ukraine. Carlson sees Putin's interference in the 2016 and 2020 elections on the Malignant Loser's behalf, as well as his Christofascist policies, as the mark of an ally. Russian state television has made Carlson one of the most popular media personalities (also see here and here), as they play clips of his attacks on Ukraine and our policies.

Led by unhinged right-winger Marjorie Taylor "Traitor" Greene (Insurrection-GA), the House Republican Freedom Fascist Caucus is rife with fifth columnists who want to undermine our support of a democratic Ukraine, in favor of Russia's brutal and illegal invasion. They've ignored (or worse, adopted) Putin's numerous statements that he wants to destroy the U.S.'s influence in the world, and his April, 2005, annual message in which he declared that the fall of the Soviet Union to be the greatest political catastrophe of the 20th century. Putin's on a mission to recreate the geographic footprint of the Soviet Union, but as a anti-American fascist / imperialist entity, one that clearly has the support of some of the U.S.'s most prominent right-wingers.

Putinist Wingnut Greene Wants Ukraine Funds Audit

Fascist gym rat and Russia's useful idiot Rep. Marjorie Taylor "Traitor" Greene is leading a resolution in the House to support an audit of funding going to Ukraine's defense against Russia's brutal invasion. Falsely comparing Russia's military invasion to the immigration across the border with Mexico, Greene was joined by fellow insurrectionist apologists Reps. Matt "Teen Spirit" Gaetz, Andrew Clyde, and Thomas Massie. From The Hill:

"The resolution is being led by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and backed by a group of GOP lawmakers. House and Senate lawmakers from both sides of the aisle supportive of continued U.S. assistance to Ukraine say these colleagues are part of a minority fringe.

But the resolution, which calls for preserving administration documents and communications related to Ukraine funding distribution, speaks to other criticisms among some Republican lawmakers who support aid to Ukraine but say more oversight is needed."

This resolution, coming just days after the House was retaken by the Republicans by a slim margin, will be music to the Kremlin's ears as winter descends on Ukraine and its power and water utilities have been severely damaged by Russian missiles.  It also comes at at time when Ukraine has momentum on the battlefield, and Russia is retreating. Greene made it clear that she thinks she has a green light from spineless opportunist Rep. Kevin "Qevin" McCarthy, who earlier signaled that a Republican House wouldn't be giving Ukraine a "blank check":

"Greene referred to remarks from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) who had earlier said Republicans are not going to send a 'blank check' to Ukraine, in responding to criticisms within his party over American assistance.

'You’ve heard Leader McCarthy say publicly that he doesn’t see very good odds for much funding for Ukraine going forward in a Republican-controlled conference,' Greene said."  (our emphasis)

Along with "investigations" of Hunter Biden, Critical Race Theory, Merrick Garland, and Jewish space lasers, this and more is what we can expect from House Republicans in the coming two years. But, unlike in recent years, Dems appear to be readying counterattacks and media campaigns to foil them as much as possible. Give it to them hard.

QOTD -- Power And Leeway

“I think that to be the best speaker of the House and to please the base, he’s going to give me a lot of power and a lot of leeway,” she predicted in a flat, unemotional voice. “And if he doesn’t, they’re going to be very unhappy about it. I think that’s the best way to read that. And that’s not in any way a threat at all. I just think that’s reality.” -- Gym rat loon Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (QAnon-GA), offering a preview of a dystopian future for our Government should the Christofascist Republican Party take over the House.  Greene -- an anti-Semitic (aren't they all, really?), pro-Putin, gun nut ignoramus -- would exercise that power and leeway to "punish" Democrats for their temerity in investigating her cult leader, hold show hearings à la Bengazi!1! on various right-wing fever topics like Hunter Biden's laptop, block routine business, and generally work toward the goal of any Christofascist Republican -- "restoring" Christianity to a grateful nation.

What a perfectly encapsulated reason to vote Democratic.

The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

The good:

The stunning success of Ukraine’s recent counteroffensive has exposed the rotten reality behind Russia’s reputation as a military superpower. More than six months since the onset of Vladimir Putin’s Ukraine invasion, it is now obvious that his army is in fact a deeply flawed institution that bears almost no resemblance to the immaculate fighting force of Red Square parades and Kremlin propaganda. Instead, the Russian military suffers from endemic corruption, low morale, and poor leadership, with individual initiative in short supply and commanders deeply reluctant to accept personal responsibility. Last week’s disastrous defeat in northeastern Ukraine will only worsen the situation, with officers gripped by fear as Moscow seeks scapegoats for what is shaping up to be one of the most shameful military defeats in Russian history.

The scale of Ukraine’s recent victory has stunned the entire world, but perhaps nobody was as surprised as the Russians themselves. Naturally, the Kremlin sought to suppress news of the counteroffensive, but the speed of events and the sheer scale of the collapse meant that details of the unfolding disaster could not be completely censored despite the best efforts of the authorities. The resulting realization was a huge psychological blow for the Russian public, who learned for the first time that their soldiers in Ukraine were demoralized and beaten. The rout of Russian forces in Kharkiv Oblast was also a painful wake-up call for Ukrainian collaborators, who realized that Russia cannot be relied upon and will abandon them without thinking twice.

Beyond these immediate implications, Ukraine’s counteroffensive also says much about the broader state of the Russian military and provides valuable indications of what we can expect to see next. From now on, fear will shape every single decision made by Russian commanders in Ukraine. This will not be fear of losing precious lives or damaging Russia’s national interests; it will be a very personal fear of retribution from a vindictive hierarchy seeking culprits to blame for the rapidly declining fortunes of the Russian army. (our emphasis)

The bad:

Before Trump came along, antisemites had little investment in American politics. His rhetoric articulates themes they recognize as compatible with their own, and he has given them a reason to marshal their energies on behalf of one side in a two-party system from which they had been excluded.

There is a simple test to measure their influence. If antisemites were too marginal to pose any danger, it would be easy enough for the party to cut them off. (If you want to know what it looks like when Republicans decide to really throw somebody out of their party, look at their treatment of Liz Cheney.) Instead, they vacillate. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy declined to comment on [Arizona Rep. Paul] Gosar’s attendance at white nationalist Nick Fuentes’s conference. McCarthy has likewise promised to restore [Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor] Greene’s committee privileges if Republicans regain the majority.

Prosecutors have found that Trump’s January 6 rally attracted a significant number of people who share Hitler quotes, hold membership in neo-Nazi organizations, have a fixation with “white genocide,” and the like, making the party leadership’s desire to sweep the whole thing under the rug all the more dangerous. Whatever misgivings the remaining old-line Republicans may have toward the militant cadres Trump inspired, Republicans fear their political and even terroristic power. They no longer imagine they have the gatekeeping force to exclude the antisemites, less still to steer the party away from the kind of paranoid rhetoric that invites their participation.  (our emphasis)

The ugly:

After winking at QAnon for years, Donald Trump is overtly embracing the baseless conspiracy theory, even as the number of frightening real-world events linked to it grows.

On Tuesday, using his Truth Social platform, the Republican former president reposted an image of himself wearing a Q lapel pin overlaid with the words “The Storm is Coming.” In QAnon lore, the “storm” refers to Trump’s final victory, when supposedly he will regain power and his opponents will be tried, and potentially executed, on live television.

As Trump contemplates another run for the presidency and has become increasingly assertive in the Republican primary process during the midterm elections, his actions show that far from distancing himself from the political fringe, he is welcoming it.

He’s published dozens of recent Q-related posts, in contrast to 2020, when he claimed that while he didn’t know much about QAnon, he couldn’t disprove its conspiracy theory.  (our emphasis)

A sick, sociopathic demagogue seeks his own level.

Pardon Me ... And Me ... And Me

Names were named at today's January 6 insurrection hearing:   Republican/ Seditionist Congressmen who were looking for a presidential pardon for their actions in service of the Malignant Loser's coup attempt (can you say "consciousness of guilt"?):

Rep. Matt Gaetz (Pedo Seditionist-FL), in particular, requested a pardon that went "from the beginning of time up until today, for any and all things."   (Translation:  "Please make that underage sex trafficking case against me go away, too!")

All of the two- legged rats requesting pardons are frothing, well- known enemies of American democracy.  One of them, Rep. Mo Brooks (Seditionist-AL) appears to be eager to extract some vengeance on the Malignant Loser for double- crossing him in his effort to win the Republican nomination for Senate in Alabama.  The next round of hearings unspool in mid- July and promise to continue to expose the criminality of the Malignant Loser and his sychophants.

QOTD -- "Expel Her"

"For those who suggest that Greene’s behavior is yet another sign of a lack of civility and bipartisanship — stop. Her behavior has nothing to do with coming to consensus on vital issues such as infrastructure or police reform. Congress has rules of procedure and conduct. Greene has egregiously violated them. And given how she has responded to the loss of her committee assignments, Greene is unlikely to behave differently after a new reprimand. Who can doubt she’d welcome it as one more opportunity for infamy?

"Greene’s behavior belongs in the annals of “don’t do this on your job.” Her fate would not be in question in any other workplace in America. It should not be a debate in Congress.

"Expel her." -- former Rep. Donna Edwards (D-MD) on low-IQAnon Congresscretin Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Sedition).  Greene's an unserious, dangerous person who doesn't belong in Congress harassing other members in order to fund- raise off her trolling.  Expel the "gym rat with a gun."

"Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene" Explains "Sience"

QOTD -- Non Compos Mentis

"Nowhere in the Constitution—and this is excellent news for freshly sworn-in Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.)—does it stipulate that a House member must have the mental capacity to cook on all four burners." --  Jack Shafer in Politico, arguing that censure followed by defeat at the polls, rather than expulsion, is the right punishment for the QAnon Congressmoron.  We'll reserve the right to disagree as more and more comes out about Greene, and how far she goes in doubling down on her batshittery.  But she's likely there to stay for now.

On The Domestic Terrorism Beat

There have been a few developments in the fight against domestic terrorism over the past 24 hours worth noting.

Yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security issued a National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin (pdf) regarding "a heightened threat environment" from "some ideologically-motivated violent extremists with objections to the exercise of governmental authority and the presidential transition,as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives, could continue to mobilize to incite or commit violence."

Here's the Bulletin (click to enlarge):

Also yesterday, Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) announced his intention to introduce a resolution of expulsion concerning one particular domestic terrorist wannabe, Parkland truther/ QAnon Congressmoron Marjorie Taylor Greene (Q-GA):

In light of numerous reports revealing her repeated endorsements of sedition, domestic terrorism, and political violence, Congressman Jimmy Gomez (CA-34) announced today he will introduce a resolution to expel Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14) from the U.S. House of Representatives.

“As if it weren’t enough to amplify conspiracy theories that the September 11 attacks were an inside job and the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was staged, a string of recent media reports has now confirmed that Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene had previously supported social media posts calling for political violence against the Speaker of the House, members of Congress, and former President Barack Obama,” said Congressman Gomez. “Such advocacy for extremism and sedition not only demands her immediate expulsion from Congress, but it also merits strong and clear condemnation from all of her Republican colleagues, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. Her very presence in office represents a direct threat against the elected officials and staff who serve our government, and it is with their safety in mind, as well as the security of institutions and public servants across our country, that I call on my House colleagues to support my resolution to immediately remove Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene from this legislative body.”

Taylor Greene belongs in an institution, just not Congress.  We certainly wish Rep. Gomez well, though it's a long process and ultimately requires two- thirds of the House to expel (not realistic in a chamber where Taylor Greene and 139 fellow seditionist Republicans voted to overthrow the 2020 election).  A censure, on the other hand, requires only a majority vote and may be the best the House can do to this dangerous lunatic (along with taking her off her committee assignments, too).

That's what comes of having one of our two parties controlled by the monster it carefully built and fed over the decades.

BONUS: Here's the type of right-wing, Trumpist domestic terrorism the bulletin is talking about. Here, too.
