Trump Rails At Republicans Who Defied Him

The mentally unstable, would-be dictator Malignant Fascist was up last night/ early morning on his failing social media platform railing against Republicans who've stood up to him at one time or another.  He took particular umbrage at Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, running for reelection, whom he's never forgiven for voting to impeach his seditious, fat ass for inciting an insurrection on January 6, 2021.  His problems with Reps. Massie and Boebert stem from their voting to release the Epstein files (where his name is mentioned 38,000 times) which the convicted sexual abuser is determined to keep hidden from the public and posterity.  Here are his unbalanced, un-presidential rants, full of projection and consciousness of guilt:

Cassidy lost his party primary yesterday and aimed some well-justified barbs at the Malignant Fascist:

“When you participate in democracy, sometimes it doesn’t turn out the way you want it to,” he told dozens of supporters in Baton Rouge. “But you don’t pout. You don’t whine. You don’t claim that an election was stolen from you.”

Without naming Mr. Trump, Mr. Cassidy expressed his view that America’s leaders should be focused not on “one individual” who demanded absolute loyalty but rather on the general welfare of the public.

“And if someone doesn’t understand that and attempts to control others through using the levers of power, they’re about serving themselves,” he said. “They’re not about serving us. And that person is not qualified to be a leader.”

Messages entirely lost on the MAGAt voters in Louisiana yesterday.

QOTD -- Defy Trump? No Clean Water For You!

“President Trump decided to veto a completely non-controversial, bipartisan bill that passed both the House and Senate unanimously. Why? Because nothing says ‘America First’ like denying clean drinking water to 50,000 people in Southeast Colorado, many of whom enthusiastically voted for him in all three elections.

“I must have missed the rally where he stood in Colorado and promised to personally derail critical water infrastructure projects. My bad, I thought the campaign was about lowering costs and cutting red tape.

“But hey, if this administration wants to make its legacy blocking projects that deliver water to rural Americans; that’s on them..." -- Rep. Lauren Boebert (MAGAt-CO), in a statement responding to her cult leader's veto of a bill to fund a clean water conduit to southeastern Colorado.  Actually, "the campaign" wasn't about "lowering costs and cutting red tape."  It was about seizing power for a corrupt, deranged would-be autocrat in order to destroy American democracy -- but nice try.  The real reason the Malignant Fascist vetoed the bill sponsored by Boebert was in retribution for her being one of the few original Republicans who sponsored the discharge petition for the DOJ to release the Epstein files.  That was enough to mark her for this petty, vindictive action, something that the MF is so well- known for.  Another selling point for the MF:  Colorado has never voted for him in 3 elections.

Here's some background on the project, in case anyone believes the MF used only the second veto of the year to save big taxpayer dollars:

President Donald Trump vetoed a bipartisan, unanimously-approved bill sponsored by Rep. Lauren Boebert and Rep. Jeff Hurd that would have secured funding to bring clean water to communities on the Eastern Plains, according to a statement made to FOX31 by Boebert’s office.

The Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act passed unanimously in the House and the Senate.

The bill would have secured funding to continue building the Arkansas Valley Conduit, a water pipeline that would bring access to clean water for 39 communities between Pueblo and Lamar, an area that is known to have high concentrations of salt in the groundwater.

It is not a new idea that has been recently created, but rather the end of a project that was developed just over 60 years ago, in 1962, as part of the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project.

Colorado Democrats and Republicans alike have been working side-by-side on this project for decades, with Boebert the latest on the scene. Most of the land used for the pipeline site falls under her district...

Now, it remains to be seen if her fellow Republicans have the sack to override the veto.  (Don't bet on it.)

Outside Agitators Spotted On DC Campus

Yesterday, a group of far-right MAGAt Congresscritters cynically descended on the campus of George Washington University in Washington, D.C., to taunt the peaceful encampment of pro- Palestinian demonstrators, likely in an attempt to provoke them to violence. Among these outside agitators was the infamous theater groper Rep. Lauren "Bobo" Boebert (Insurrection - CO), who grabbed a bullhorn and was promptly drowned out by students chanting "Beetlejuice," in reference to the play she and her handsy date were supposed to be watching in a Denver theater last September. Boebert, who is in a tough primary race in her new Colorado district, was caught on camera vaping and stroking the crotch of her date as he groped her. The trashy Boebert's son and ex-husband have both had run-ins with law enforcement recently (family values!).

While Boebert was screeching into the bullhorn, a student managed to get behind her and hold a hand-made sign with "Beetlejuice" on it. Who says these students don't expertly troll?

Boebert's "Beetlejuice" Booting

Comedian Brent Terhune, who seems up on white trash, has thoughts about ultra-MAGAt Rep. Lauren "Blobert" Boebert and her fondler being kicked out of a production of "Beetlejuice" last week for various offenses, which he gladly enumerates.  Funny stuff.

BONUS"Blobert" may have violated a public indecency local ordinance concerning her mutual groping of her companion.  Sadly, though, it's unlikely that she would be prosecuted.

Boebert And Greene Fight On House Floor

Displaying the decorum that both are famous for, fascistic MAGAt Reps. Marjorie "Traitor" Greene (Sedition-GA) and Lauren "Bobo" Boebert (Sedition-CO) engaged in a verbal altercation yesterday in the House of Representatives. The Daily Beast has the details:

"The angry exchange came as the two lawmakers have been swiping at each other over their competing resolutions to impeach President Joe Biden. But tensions came to a head on Wednesday after Boebert leveraged a procedural tool to force a vote on her own impeachment resolution within days—undercutting Greene, who had offered her own resolution, but not with the procedural advantages of forcing a vote.

Greene apparently cursed out Boebert while the House was voting Wednesday afternoon, as the two spoke in a center aisle of the House floor; part of their interaction was captured on C-SPAN’s cameras.

According to two sources that saw the exchange and a third familiar with the matter, the back and forth began when Boebert approached Greene—then seated in the chamber—and confronted her over 'statements you made about me publicly.' All three of the sources said Greene called Boebert a 'bitch.' One of the sources said Greene called her 'a little bitch.'”  (our emphasis)

These two cretins were actually fighting over their pathetic, wheel-spinning resolutions to impeach President Biden over some made up violations of the Constitution (or for nothing at all). It's going nowhere, as House Squeaker Rep. Kevin "Qevin" McCarthy indicated in the article, since they'll never get a majority of votes to pass it. But that won't stop these two from their performative politics to appeal to their mouth-breathing, reactionary supporters. SAD, but hilarious!

Republican Divorce Docket: The Boeberts Split

Following the announcement last fall that cheating radical right-wing gym rat Rep. Marjorie Traitor Greene's (Insurrection -GA) husband was divorcing her, we were sad...sad!...to see that fellow gun- humping loon Rep. Lauren "Bobo" Boebert (Insurrection-CO) filed for divorce against her husband of 18 years recently. Here are some details from the Colorado Sun:

"The divorce petition, claiming the Boeberts’ marriage is 'irretrievable broken,' was filed on April 25 in Mesa County court, according to documents reviewed Tuesday by The Colorado Sun.

The initial filing includes a request by Boebert that she be granted child support and given parental decision-making power for their children, who were listed as sharing an address with her in Silt."

You may recall some of their romantic story:

"Boebert detailed her relationship with Jayson, 42, in her book, 'My American Life.' She wrote that she was 16 and working at Burger King when she met her future husband and 'fell in love … immediately.'

Maybe he fell in love with the burger smell, but go on:

'Four months after we met, Jayson and I went off to get married,' Boebert wrote, explaining that the couple was turned away in Las Vegas because Boebert was too young. 'For any ‘Karen’ who may be reading this, Jayson and I broke no Colorado laws with our relationship, despite what you might be thinking.'”

Okay, sounds a bit defensive. So what laws did Jayson break?

"Jayson Boebert pleaded guilty to public indecency and lewd exposure after allegedly exposing himself to two girls at a bowling alley in January 2004. In her book, Boebert wrote that Jayson never displayed his genitals, but that he 'acted like he was going to unzip his pants.'”

Riiiight, cool story Bobo. So how did Jayson receive the news of his wife's divorce filing?

"In court documents, a process server said that when he tried to serve Jayson with the divorce documents on April 25 he 'was extremely angry.'

'I tried to hand him the documents but (he) did not take them,' the server wrote. 'He started yelling and using profanities and told me that I was trespassing.'”

The good people of Colorado may want to stay clear of any confrontations between the Boeberts, who like to wave guns around. They could go from divorce court to criminal court pretty quickly.

Tweedledim Vs Tweedledumb

In a clash of Titans, it's Tweedledim vs. Tweedledumb:

Far-right Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) traded blows on Monday in a disagreement over the next House speaker.

At a Turning Point USA conference in Phoenix, Boebert criticized Greene for backing current House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) for speaker.

“I’ve been aligned with Marjorie and accused of believing a lot of the things that she believes in,” Boebert said. “I don’t believe in this just like I don’t believe in ... Jewish space lasers,” she added, referring to one of Greene’s most widely-ridiculed conspiracy theories.

Greene shot back on Twitter, accusing Boebert of “high school drama” and noting that the Colorado Republican won reelection on a knife’s edge.

“I’ve supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. President Trump has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. Kevin McCarthy has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. She just barely came through by 500 votes,” Greene tweeted.

“She gladly takes our $$$ but when she’s been asked: Lauren refuses to endorse President Trump, she refuses to support Kevin McCarthy, and she childishly threw me under the bus for a cheap sound bite.”

Observers have noted a barely- disguised antagonism between the two MAGA morons since they both found themselves seated in Congress in 2021.  Thirsty for the spotlight, the two have been circling each other looking for opportunities to attack.  Now that they've taken opposite sides in weasel Kevin McCarthy's bid for Speaker, the rift has been laid bare once again.

If this is what we can expect for the next two years as one faction of Republican crazies goes to war with another faction of Republican crazies, we say -- more please!

QOTD -- The Bible Tells Her So

"On the Sunday after the Supreme Court reversed a decades-old ruling that legalized abortions in the U.S., Republican congresswoman Lauren Boebert spoke to a crowd at a church in Colorado. Among other things, Boebert complained that faith communities have long had to deal with laws in the U.S. that they don't agree with.

"'The church is supposed to direct the government," she said. "The government is not supposed to direct the church. That is not how our founding fathers intended it. And I am tired of this separation of church and state junk. It's not in the Constitution.'"

"Of course, the Constitution does explicitly ban the establishment of a specific religion. It's in the First Amendment." --  Ashley Lopez, NPR, in "The Christian Right is winning in court while losing in public opinion."  The party of these dangerous dimbulbs needs to lose at the ballot box, too, lest we become a theocratic banana republic.

Grifters And Greedheads Sticking Together

President Biden's plan to beef up the Internal Revenue Services' capacity to monitor corporate and high-income tax cheats is drawing criticism from from two likely sources: mega-billionaire and vicarious space cadet Elon Musk and far-right winger and ammosexual loon Rep. Lauren Boebert (Insurrection-CO). First, it's important to note that Musk paid no Federal income taxes on his enormous wealth in 2018, and that Boebert has been involved in sketchy and likely illegal use of campaign funds to pay off tax liens and other debts.

Musk saw a Boebert tweet complaining about the added capacity for the IRS -- some 87,000 staff over 10 years -- and responded positively, suggesting without evidence that the added staff would be auditing "everyone else." What neither Boebert nor Musk bothered to note was that the difference being payed by his fellow greedheads and what was actually owed is estimated to be over $7 trillion over the next ten years. The IRS will need staff -- auditors, accountants, lawyers and support -- to dig into the tax dodges and smokescreens that corporations and wealthy individuals (not just billionaires) pay armies of tax attorneys and accountants to concoct and defend.

If grifters and greedheads like Boebert and Musk have nothing to hide from the IRS, then they should have no problem with its staffing up. That they have a problem with it speaks volumes.

Republican Crime Blotter: Case of the Mistaken Thumb

Recently, military gun- fondling nutjob and cheap Sarah Palin knock-off Rep. Lauren "Bobo" Boebert (Sedition-CO) was caught lying on her Federal financial disclosure forms when she failed to disclose an important financial conflict of interest. While she serves on the House Natural Resources Committee which oversees the regulation of the natural gas industry, her skeevy husband Jayson's "consultant" work in that industry for which he was compensated roughly $1 million in recent years. Nice family business: the regulator is the spouse of the regulated. We wonder what they talked about at home?

It probably isn't Jayson's 2004 arrest for exposing himself to two women at a Colorado bowling alley, as reported by Salon:

"In January 2004, when Jayson Boebert was 24, he was arrested for exposing himself to two young women at a Colorado bowling alley. His future wife Lauren Roberts (as she was then known), who was 17 at the time, was also present and was told she was no longer welcome at the bowling alley.

Jayson Boebert pled guilty to "public indecency and lewd exposure" after that incident, according to The New York Post, and was sentenced to four days in jail with a subsequent two years on probation."  (our emphasis)

He became belligerent when told to leave the bowling alley, claiming to police it was his thumb sticking through the fly of his pants not his penis (Ed. -- we'll give him credit for equating his manhood's size with his thumb). Sadly for "Bobo," that wasn't the last Jayson saw of the law, per Salon:

"Not long after that incident, Jayson Boebert found himself in trouble with the law again after a domestic violence incident (which has already been widely publicized) involving Lauren Roberts, his then-girlfriend and future wife. In February 2004, Jayson Boebert was arrested and charged with harassing and physically assaulting Lauren, and was convicted on those charges in November. He "did unlawfully strike, shove or kick ... and subjected her to physical contact," a Garfield County court clerk spokesman told The New York Post in January of 2021. Lauren Roberts had her first child later that year; it is unclear whether she was pregnant at the time of the assault." (our emphasis)

That's some low self-esteem on the part of "Bobo" to stick with a lowlife like Jayson and have his child after he harassed and assaulted her. Perhaps that's the root of her military gun fetish: low self-esteem and a need to project with weapons a strength and power that you lack in your personal life. Corruption, violence and perversion seem to be in the Boeberts' DNA.

Monday Reading -- Insurrection

As always, please go to the links for the full articles/ op eds.

With the lede of the week, the Washington Post's  Greg Miller, Greg Jaffe and Razzan Nakhlawi dissect the Trump insurrection mob:

The problem with devotion to a prophet of falsehoods is that reality eventually intrudes.

By mid-December, President Trump’s fraudulent claims of a rigged election were failing in humiliating fashion. Lawsuits were being laughed out of courts. State officials, including Republicans, were refusing to bend to his will and alter the vote. And in a seemingly decisive blow on Dec. 14, the electoral college certified the win for Joe Biden.

It was a disorienting sequence for legions of supporters who believed Trump’s lies that the election had been stolen from him but that he would prevail and reclaim it — especially those who had already descended into deeper, more disturbing conspiracies.

Some clung to the hope that Vice President Pence would use his procedural role on Jan. 6 to write an alternative ending. But as it became clear that Pence would refuse with the backing of most Senate Republicans, Trump’s most ardent abettors began planning the siege of the Capitol(our emphasis)

One of those devotees to the prophet is QAnon crackpot Rep. Lauren Boebert (Nut-CO), who was busy tweeting the whereabouts of Speaker Pelosi as the Trump insurrectionist mob sacked the Capitol. She's quite the loon:

Boebert won a divisive primary against incumbent Republican Rep. Scott Tipton by accusing him of failing to fight for Trump, failing to fight for the upset mob and failing to fight Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Boebert believed a far more confrontational, shrill approach should be taken. The sidearm strapped to her hip became her greatest campaign slogan. She railed against Democrats, demonizing them with every opportunity. Even the Tweet pinned to the top of her Twitter profile begins with “I’m fighting …”

A when she rose to the floor for her inaugural speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, she began with a groan-inducing joke centered on the bloodshed of one of America’s founders. Hours later, the bloodshed of a woman who helped storm the Capitol would be spilled in the halls of the venerable building.

Of course, before she even began screaming from the lectern on the floor – and she was screaming rather than engaging in any form of debate – she had made sure to post “Today is 1776” on her Twitter feed.

The clear reference to the revolutionary war against England has been a calling card for enthusiasts of violent action in support of Trump over the past few weeks. If Boebert does not understand the weight and significance of her words, then maybe she should begin attending the funerals of the men and women who will likely die following her lead.

She's a fascist moron -- what do they understand except using intimidation and violence to get their way?  If she and the crackpot seditionist caucus aren't removed or severely sanctioned, they will be back for more.

Here's how to deal with a smarmy, hypocritical, gaslighting Republican coup enabler:

Not that it will happen, but there's certainly a legal basis for removing Ted Coup and his fellow slimeball Sen. Josh "Haw Haw" Hawley from the SenateDisbarment of the two is also being pushed, even as the spigot of corporate donations is being cut off.

The FBI has all of its field offices at work identifying and arresting the insurrectionists, having received over 40,000 tips to date:

In the days since the riot, federal and local authorities have begun arresting people who they said were involved. More arrests are expected as investigators scrutinize photographs, videos and social media posts to identify the protesters. The F.B.I. has received more than 40,000 tips, including photos and videos, a number that does not include tips that people have submitted by phone.

On Friday, the Justice Department announced that it had charged 13 people. Dozens of others have been charged in Superior Court in Washington, D.C., with unlawful entry, curfew violations and firearms-related crimes.

The article provides an update on some of the insurrectionists already arrested, but there are many more to be rounded up.  Here's the FBI contact information:

Meanwhile, pressure mounts:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that Democrats will bring articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump to the House of Representatives floor in the coming days.

In a letter to her caucus, she said that Democrats will also introduce a resolution on Monday calling on Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment.

“In protecting our Constitution and our Democracy, we will act with urgency, because this President represents an imminent threat to both,” Pelosi said. “As the days go by, the horror of the ongoing assault on our democracy perpetrated by this President is intensified and so is the immediate need for action.”

The resolution directed at Pence urges the vice president to “immediately exercise powers as acting President.”

“We are calling on the Vice President to respond within 24 hours,” Pelosi added.

Hitting him where it hurts, the PGA canceled its contract with the Trump Bedminster golf club to host its 2022 PGA Championship.  Beyond the financial hit, for someone so enamored of his golf clubs and of rubbing elbows with golf pros, this is also a big blow to his fragile ego to have the professional golf association begin the process of ridding itself of Trump stink.
