As he promoted the Big Lie about the 2020 elections being "rigged," the Malignant Loser's so-called "Save America" leadership political action committee shook down his cult for millions of dollars, ostensibly to fight his phony battle in the courts and legislatures. Knowing the Malignant Loser's bottomless greed and self-indulgence, it's no surprise that he pocketed roughly $1 million that his cult thought was going to overturn the election. S.V. Date at the HuffPo reports on the Malignant Loser's scam:
"From the day he left office through the end of last year, the coup-attempting former president’s various political committees spent $905,570 at his properties, according to a HuffPost analysis of new Federal Election Commission filings.
From $94,462 that Trump’s Save America 'leadership PAC' dropped at Trump’s hotel on Central Park West in Manhattan on Dec. 10, 2021, to $1,122 his newly reformed presidential campaign spent at his West Palm Beach golf course on Dec. 12, 2022, to twin $48 tabs the campaign spent at his Mar-a-Lago social club on Nov. 18, 2022, it all represents a conversion of donor money into revenues at Trump businesses, with the profits flowing directly to him personally. [snip]
Trump’s New York City hotel received $336,218 in Trump committee money, and Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, where Trump also lives during the winter months, received $137,272. That amount includes $68,988 the business received after it became the locale for Trump’s 2024 campaign announcement on Nov. 15." (our emphasis)
In the year after his decisive defeat in 2020, the Malignant Loser drummed up roughly $175 million supposedly to fight for the overturn of the election, but actually to support another run at the Presidency. Last fall, he was sitting on nearly $100 million raised by his "Save America" PAC, refusing to shift any of it to Republican candidates in the mid-terms. The Malignant Loser has used funds collected from gullible rubes on himself for years, going back to his fraudulent "charity" that was fined and shut down after it was determined that he and his family were using it as a personal piggy bank for themselves. This latest story of his self-enrichment adds to his long record as a con man.
