When singer / songwriter Gordon Lightfoot died Monday, one of folk music's finest artists was lost. As tributes pour in for Lightfoot, we highlight three iconic songs: his beautiful and melancholy first hit, "If You Could Read My Mind," the gritty and quietly menacing "Sundown," and a song about a lost love, "Carefree Highway." We wish he had another 84 years of creating music.
