Russia: Ukrainian Drones Aimed At Putin

Russia accused Ukraine with sending two drones to attack the Kremlin last night in an effort to kill war criminal and thug Vladimir Putin. The Russians claimed the drones were "put out of action" by electronic countermeasures. Putin was at his country estate at the time.

There are suspicions that this "attack" is likely a false pretext for escalation, as the Kremlin said it reserved the right to retaliate. A video posted on a site with ties to Russian state security purports to show a drone exploding in the vicinity of Red Square, but was unable to be verified by Western sources. A representative of President Zelensky said Ukraine had no involvement in the alleged attack. There is considerable opposition to Putin inside Russia, especially after his mobilization efforts and the mounting casualties in his war of aggression in Ukraine.
