Crash Site Of Russian Spacecraft Located

The little object indicated by the arrow is imperial Russia's humiliating failure, the crash site of its Luna 25 spacecraft. The flawed spacecraft was launched on August 10 and crashed on August 19, but had not been located until NASA found it with its Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter.

Ah, Russia's embarrassment in crashing its spacecraft and losing the race to the moon to India's Chandrayaan 3 which landed successfully four days later. To top it off, it took NASA's orbiting vehicle to locate it. Hopefully someone will send a copy of the photo to the Kremlin with a note saying "Hey, we found your space junk!" maybe with a little smiley face sticker. Sad!

So Putin's folks had no luck in finding the crashed spacecraft Putin had sent. NASA helped out and found it for them.

Putin has yet to thank the US for the assist.
