BREAKING: DeSantis Drops Out Of Race

NBC News is reporting that Florida Governor Ron "Bootsie" DeSantis is dropping out of the Republican race for the nomination only two days before the New Hampshire primary:

"DeSantis made the announcement in a video on X — the same social media platform where he did the glitchy rollout of his White House bid.

'Now, following our second-place finish in Iowa, we’ve prayed and deliberated on the way forward,' he said. 'If there was anything I could do to produce a favorable outcome, more campaign stops, more interviews, I would do it. But I can’t ask our supporters to volunteer their time and donate their resources. We don’t have a clear path to victory. Accordingly, I am today suspending my campaign.'

'It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance,' he said, adding, 'He has my endorsement because we can’t go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear, or repackage formed of warmed-over corporatism that Nikki Haley represents.'"  (our emphasis)

Once considered the Malignant Loser's main rival for the 2024 nomination, DeSantis suffered a series of setbacks and loss of donor support since he announced last year. His stiff and unfriendly demeanor turned off voters who could have formed his base of support, and the culture wars that he picked with the Disney Corporation and with schools in Florida over books and instruction curricula proved unappealing too.

DeSantis was recently in former Gov. Nikki Haley's home state of South Carolina hoping to create a backfire and win support in that crucial state. Now, in a final but deserved humiliation, DeSantis -- dubbed Ron DeSanctimonious and worse by the Malignant Loser -- will now have to kiss the Republican cult leader's odiferous hindquarters, much as his defeated predecessors Sen. Ted "Cancun" Cruz, Sen. Marco "Li'l Marco" Rubio and others have done in the past.
