Disgraced, treasonous Putin-loving former Fux "News" Tucker "Mother*ucker" Carlson has his big interview.
The Kremlin acknowledged that Russian thug and war criminal Vladimir Putin granted Carlson the first interview by an American (allegedly!) since Russia's criminal invasion of Ukraine nearly two years ago. Carlson is often quoted and praised by Russian state TV commentators. In a statement by Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov, Carlson was singled out as friendly to Russia, and not "one-sided" as Western journalists who are critical of Putin's brutal invasion of Ukraine. From Reuters:
"'When it comes to the countries of the collective West, the large network media, TV channels, (and) large newspapers can in no way boast of even trying to at least look impartial in terms of coverage,' Peskov told a regular news briefing on Wednesday.
'These are all media outlets that take an exceptionally one-sided position. Of course, there is no desire to communicate with such media, and it hardly makes sense, and it is unlikely that it will be useful.'" (our emphasis)
In other words, white supremacist Carlson is "useful" to the Kremlin, while real journalists are not because they won't spout the Kremlin's propaganda like Carlson will. We would refer to Carlson as a "useful idiot" -- an old Soviet term for naive collaborator -- but Carlson isn't that: he's a deliberate Russian agent of influence. He's getting the royal treatment in Moscow as a "friend" to their imperial, expansionist cause:
"On Tuesday, the Evening Moscow newspaper published a photo of Carlson on its front page with the headline: 'Carlson, who lives in America, but speaks the truth.'
Pro-Kremlin newspaper Izvestia posted videos of what it said was Carlson's vehicle entering and leaving Moscow's presidential administration building with filming equipment on board.
Earlier, it released a clip of Carlson in his hotel speaking to a reporter.
'I've read so much about Russia but I've never seen it before. I wanted to look around and see how it's doing - and it's doing very well,' he can be heard saying." (our emphasis)
