Repubs Having "Buyer's Remorse" Over J.D. Vance

The MAGA cult went into their convention in Milwaukee with high hopes of defeating President Biden, with polls showing their felonious and morally bankrupt leader pulling ahead. With their hubris running amok, they scrapped any pretense of wanting a "moderate" on the ticket who would pull in independent voters and went with the radical right-wing Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance as their vice presidential nominee. Then, everything changed when the President stepped down on Sunday, throwing his support to Vice President Harris against the oldest man ever nominated by his party to run for President.

Now the Dems are sure to focus on Vance's extremism along with the cult's embrace of the Project 2025 blueprint for fascism in America. Reports from inside the Malignant Loser's campaign indicate a growing sense that Vance was the wrong pick for his running mate:

"Trump campaign officials acknowledged that Trump selected the inexperienced Vance, charged with all his techno-authoritarian ideas, to boost support among their own base, not extend a hand to swing voters, according to The Atlantic. Vance was a symbol of the Trump team’s assuredness that they would win in 2024. Come Sunday, that assuredness appears to be shrinking.

'Most striking thing I heard from Trump allies yesterday was the second-guessing of JD Vance—a selection, they acknowledged, that was [born] of cockiness, meant to run up margins with the base in a blowout rather than persuade swing voters in a nail-biter,' Atlantic staff writer Tim Alberta, who had written the piece about the panicking Trump campaign, posted on X (formerly Twitter)."  (our emphasis)

The sense of panic over Vice President Harris' extremely strong and positive start of her sudden campaign has the MAGAts flailing for ways to stop her, from constant dishonest smears to possible legal action. If Dems unite and have the same commitment and drive that was present in the 2020 campaign, the MAGA cult has every reason to panic.

BONUS:  Kentucky Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear nailed it:

“J.D. Vance is a phony, he's fake. I mean, he first says that Donald Trump is like Hitler, and now he's acting like he's Lincoln. The problem with JD Vance is he has no conviction, but I guess his running mate has 34."
