In 1982, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers released their fifth studio album, "Long After Dark." Just last week, it was announced that an expanded, "deluxe" album with seven new songs would be released in a remastered version on October 18. We'll be watching for those seven songs as they drop.
In the meantime, a video made in 1982 for French TV for their "Straight Into Darkness" single from that album has been remastered and released to promote the deluxe album. It's our song for today.

In the 80's our toddlers would go to the CD tower and pull one disc out of hundreds, hand it to me, and say play Tom Fetty. Kids had good taste.
