The Harris-Walz campaign needs to deploy Republicans like Cheney, Kinzinger, Duncan, and others who've endorsed their ticket. If Democrats are to win a victory in November, much less a resounding one, they need to open their tent to as many moderate and conservative voters as they can. Voices like theirs offer that "permission structure" that we've talked about, letting these voters know that voting for Harris-Walz doesn't make you a Democrat, it makes you a patriot.
