"Coach Pop" graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1970, served five years in the U.S. Air Force, and held several coaching positions before joining the Spurs coaching staff in 1988. In 2020, he coached the U.S. team to a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

As pointed out in the movie "The Apprentice," until age 27 Trump was your garden-variety doofus wanting to be somebody. He didn't become a truly dangerous victim/bully mix until Roy Cohn created him.
