The highly respected, highly accurate "gold standard" Des Moines Register final poll is out, and may (may) portend a national trend that so many other pollsters have been missing or undervaluing -- the demographic that's voting and shifting to Vice President Harris:
- Democrat Kamala Harris leads Donald Trump in Iowa 47% to 44%, a new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows.
- A victory for Harris would be a shocking development after Iowa has swung aggressively to the right in recent elections, delivering Trump solid victories in 2016 and 2020.
- The poll shows that women — particularly those who are older or are politically independent — are driving the late shift toward Harris.
- Trump continues to lead with his core base of support: men, evangelicals, rural residents and those without a college degree. (our emphasis)
Iowa, in the not too distant past, was a swingy blue/ purple state that voted Democratic in Presidential elections from 1988-2000, and in 2008 and 2012. If Democrats are to win decisively in this election, states like Iowa, long assumed to be in the Malignant Loser's column, will be the bellwethers to watch on election night.
VOTE!!
BONUS: Well, we can dream --

🤔😳 Here's an interesting tidbit in the last weekend before we have a President-elect Harris: Donald Trump's favorite neo-Nazi dinner date, Nick Fuentes, had a mental breakdown and screamed, "Liberals are right! This is a cult and we all need to get out of it!" Apparently, the sight of people wearing garbage bags and saying "we are garbage" to own the libs is a bridge too far for this crazy Holocaust-denier!! 🤪
Cleora -- yes, even the rats are now deserting the garbage scow SS Trump.
