A Look At Prefab Housing History And Future

Architect Michael Wyetzner is back to discuss the history and future of prefabricated architecture, from tents and kit homes (including Frank Lloyd Wright kits!) to trailer homes to modern prefab housing.  (Btw, our grandparents' former house in Wisconsin is a Sears and Roebuck kit home.)  While modern prefab housing is certainly not to everyone's taste and requires extreme start-up costs for manufacturers, it reduces environmental impact and is sometimes a more affordable housing option that a site-built home.  Interesting presentation, as usual.
