Zucking-Up To The Malignant Fascist

After paying $1 million to the Malignant Fascist's inaugural committee to have a seat at his table, Facebook's Mark "Zuck-Up" Zuckerberg continues to align his Meta empire with the incoming pay-to-play regime. As NBC News reports, the Facebook billionaire has decreed that Facebook will no longer fact check its content, allowing the flow of right-wing disinformation to proliferate in support of the MF:

"Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a series of major changes to the company's moderation policies and practices Tuesday, citing a shifting political and social landscape and a desire to embrace free speech.

Zuckerberg said that Meta will end its fact-checking program with trusted partners and replace it with a community-driven system similar to X’s Community Notes.

The company is also making changes to its content moderation policies around political topics and undoing changes that reduced the amount of political content in user feeds, Zuckerberg said."

In a further sign of Zuck's anticipatory obedience to the MF, he has appointed MF-supporter Dana White, head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, to Facebook's parent company Meta's board of directors:

"Dana White, CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and a close Donald Trump supporter, will join Meta’s board of directors in yet another signal that the company is moving to further align itself with the incoming administration.

The announcement came Monday and follows news last week that Republican Joel Kaplan would become Meta’s chief global affairs officer, and that the company would donate $1 million toward Trump’s inauguration.

'Dana is the President and CEO of UFC, and he has built it into one of the most valuable, fastest growing, and most popular sports enterprises in the world,' Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post. 'I've admired him as an entrepreneur and his ability to build such a beloved brand.'”

"Beloved brand" is rich. It's a safe place for toxic, violent males who can't understand why women won't date "real" men like them. In any event, it's Zuck's way of signaling to the MF that his company not only won't stand in his way, but hopes to reap some financial rewards for his anticipatory obedience.
