No Shame: Measles Deaths And RFK, Jr.

Yesterday, Health and Human Services Secretary, brain worm host and anti-vax zealot Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., visited the families of two unvaccinated children in Texas who died of measles. Texas' Gaines County is the hot spot for the nationwide measles outbreak, with Texas recording some 500 cases alone.

Kennedy has resisted calling for vaccinations against measles up until yesterday. From the linked story:

"Kennedy, an anti-vaccine advocate before ascending to the role of nation’s top health secretary earlier this year, has resisted urging widespread vaccinations as the measles outbreak has worsened under his watch. On Sunday, however, he said in a lengthy statement posted on X that it was 'the most effective way to prevent the spread of measles.'

The measles, mumps and rubella vaccine has been used safely for more than 60 years and is 97% effective against measles after two doses."

He's not only belatedly calling for vaccinations after the illness has spread nationally, he was promoting dangerous remedies earlier as an alternative to the vaccine:

"Misinformation about how to prevent and treat measles is hindering a robust public health response, including claims about vitamin A supplements that have been pushed by Kennedy and holistic medicine supporters despite doctors’ warnings that it should be given under a physician’s orders and that too much can be dangerous.

Doctors at Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, where the first measles death occurred, say they’ve treated fewer than 10 children for liver issues from vitamin A toxicity, which they found when running routine lab tests on children who are not fully vaccinated and have measles. Dr. Lara Johnson, chief medical officer, said the patients reported using vitamin A to treat and prevent the virus." (our emphasis)

By RFK, Jr. spreading misinformation and distrust of vaccines that people see as credible, he's contributed greatly to children and adults getting sick and in tragic cases dying. He has no shame to attend the funeral of his believers.

  2. 🤬 What I was most angered and nauseated at was Kennedy posting photos of himself with the families of dead and dying and still-unvaccinated children. He then claimed to be so grateful "for the bonds he has made with this community." I did not see him identifying "this community" as the Mennonnite community. They are more than happy to bond with this death merchant because he feeds the belief that vaccines are wrong, but all manner of quack nostrums, and prayer, will save their children.
This horrific excuse for a human being attended a funeral for the daughter of one of these unvaccinated families, but followed up by announcing he is working with Texas Governor Abbott to get more vaccines into the system! Well, which is it? Vaccinate or don't vaccinate? The answer came moments later when Kennedy celebrated two quacks who push junk on people who need science. "I visited with these two extraordinary healers, Dr. Richard Bartlett and Dr. Ben Edwards who have treated and healed some 300 measles-stricken Mennonite children using aerosolized budesonide and clarithromycin." These steroids and antibiotics can only treat some secondary ailments, not THE MEASLES! And, Kennedy is still pushing cod-liver oil, which now comes in lemon flavor. So important for dying children to at least get flavored bullshit!! 💩🤬
