Buttigieg passed on running in 2026 for Governor or Senator in Michigan, where he resides, leading observers to believe he's planning a run for President in 2028 (if there's an election, that is). He's one of the party's most focused and articulate leaders, so his presence out on the hustings can only be a positive.
