Trump's Proposed Budget In One Graph

To summarize:

-- end funding for American "soft diplomacy" and international relief efforts;

-- make catastrophic cuts to science, health, education, and environmental programs;

-- reduce NASA to even more of a husk of its former self (to Musk's and Bezos' glee);

-- basically eliminate housing vouchers for lower-income families; and

-- cut rural development, international food aid, and agricultural research, for starters.

But, all is not lost:

-- increase funding by 65% (!) for DHS to disappear students and immigrants without due process, and maybe build more porous "border wall"!  MAGA!

The ultimate sausage- making institution will now take its whacks as the new fiscal year looms on October 1, as will ongoing, reckless Republican gamesmanship on a continuing resolution should the deadline pass (accompanied by more feckless Senate Democratic leadership?).  Fun times.
