Here's President "Deals McBusiness" demonstrating once again that he doesn't know what he's talking about, part infinity:
President Donald Trump swung by the Federal Reserve on Thursday to highlight the hefty price tag of the building’s ongoing renovation as a means to pressure Fed Chair Jerome Powell.
But in a remarkable moment, Trump cited falsely inflated figures for the renovation — and got immediately called out for it.
The cost “is about $3.1 billion,” Trump told the cameras, “it went up a little bit — or a lot.”
Powell, shocked, shook his head in disagreement.
“So the $2.7 is now $3.1,” Trump continued. Powell then cut him off: “I’m not aware of that.”
“Yeah, yeah, it just came out,” responded Trump, pulling a piece of paper from his breast pocket.
Powell grabbed the paper and put his glasses on, scrutinizing the document.
“Oh, you’re including the Martin renovation? You just added in a third building,” Powell said. “That’s a third building.”’
“Well, I know, but it’s a building that’s being built,” Trump, nonplussed, said.
“No. It was built five years ago,” Powell corrected him. “We finished Martin five years ago. It’s not new.” [snip]
In a hilarious bit of irony, the $2.5 billion overhaul is at least partially over budget because Trump appointees overruled the project’s architects and made them use white marble instead of glass.
Trump has grown increasingly critical of Powell over the Fed’s reluctance to cut interest rates. Trump himself nominated Powell for the role in 2017.
It was a Trump "gotcha" moment that backfired beautifully in front of the cameras. You can see the embarrassing clip at the link.
As has been said, what a stupid time we live in (and Trump is its avatar).

Powell probably erred by actually paying the contractors which is something the First Felon would avoid at all cost.
