Just last week, the Pentagon announced a pause in weapons shipments to Ukraine, an announcement that stunned our European allies and Ukraine. The rationale was that our stocks of those weapons were getting critically low. Now, in another abject failure of management competence and communication, the Malignant Fascist has restarted the weapons shipments, and claimed that he wasn't involved in discussions about the pause. From the Associated Press:
"The Pentagon, which announced last week that it would hold back some air defense missiles, precision-guided artillery and other weapons pledged to Ukraine because of what U.S. officials said were concerns that American stockpiles were in short supply. Trump said Monday that the U.S. will have to send more weapons to Ukraine, effectively reversing the move.
Two of the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity about the sensitive internal discussions, said there was some internal opposition among Pentagon brass to the pause — coordinated by Pentagon policy chief Elbridge Colby — before it was announced.
One of the people described Trump as being caught 'flat footed' by the announcement. The White House did not respond to queries about whether Trump was surprised by the Pentagon pause." (our emphasis)
More about Undersecretary for Policy Elbridge Colby later, but the reversal was apparently triggered by the narcissistic MF's phone call last week to his handler, war criminal Vladimir Putin (who apparently is warming up to South Afrikaner Elon Musk's "America Party"). The dropped ball is another indictment of incompetent boozer Secretary of Defense Pete "Keg-seth" Hegseth, who appeared downcast at the MF's cabinet meeting yesterday as the issue was raised.
According to Politico.com, Defense official Colby has ruffled the feathers of not only our allies, but also officials within the MF's regime, due to his "rogue" behavior:
"....since joining the second Trump administration as the Pentagon’s top policy chief, Colby has made a series of rapid-fire moves that have blindsided parts of the White House and frustrated several of America’s foreign allies, according to seven people familiar with the situation. All were granted anonymity to speak freely about Trump administration dynamics.
Flanked by a team of handpicked policy experts and staff from Capitol Hill, Colby has gotten out ahead of the administration on several major foreign policy decisions.
He prompted last week’s decision, first reported by POLITICO, to halt shipments of some air defense missiles to Ukraine, which caught many Trump allies and lawmakers off guard. This week, President Donald Trump said he would reverse the decision to pause the weapons, but claimed he did not know who had approved it." (our emphasis)
This would be farcical if it didn't involve our national security and the lives of millions of Ukrainians trying to hold off Putin's savage attacks. Again, the MF hires and fires on the basis of blind personal loyalty and little else.

🍊🦡🤬 When asked by the media at the Cabinet meeting "who ordered the pause?" the ugly Orange Badger nastily replied "I don't know, you tell me!" (OMG, I hate his smug, punchable Sphincter Face so much!!) I would have cheered if the reporter's next words had been "Elbridge Colby, ya gonna fire him now?" 🤣
ReplyDeleteAlthough I know "Orange Badger Don't Care" about learning lessons, I still am amazed that he has never figured out what you get when you hire a "loyalist." You get yourself! A narcissistic, power-hungry blowhard who will do anything to assert massive authority they do not actually have! Every king/despot in history has believed that they rule over everything, but are all weakened by palace/politburo intrigue and the power plays of undersecretaries/privy councils!!
So, kings and strongmen, whoTrump loves, behead people or throw them out of windows. Trump won't even fire them, even though he pretends that is his reputation!!
🍊🦡 Orange Badger Don't Care, Don't Know, and Don't Fire!! 🤬🤬
