The scope of the disaster of the Putin-Trump meeting in Alaska on Friday is now coming into focus. The blundering fool who sees himself as a master dealmaker, in his excitement at spending time with his supervisor, war criminal Putin, quickly adopted Russia's "land for peace, but no ceasefire" position. Only the terminally naive would have believed that the Malignant Fascist/ Agent Krasnov would have stood up for Ukraine and American interests:
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday that Ukraine should make a deal to end the war with Russia because “Russia is a very big power, and they’re not”, after a summit where Vladimir Putin was reported to have demanded more Ukrainian land.
After the two leaders met in Alaska on Friday, Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that Putin had offered to freeze most front lines if Kyiv ceded all of Donetsk, the industrial region that is one of Moscow’s main targets, a source familiar with the matter said.
Zelenskiy rejected the demand, the source said. Russia already controls a fifth of Ukraine, including about three-quarters of Donetsk province, which it first entered in 2014.
Trump also said he agreed with Putin that a peace deal should be sought without the prior ceasefire that Ukraine and its European allies had demanded. That was a change from his position before the summit, when he said would not be happy unless a ceasefire was agreed on.
“It was determined by all that the best way to end the horrific war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a Peace Agreement, which would end the war, and not a mere Ceasefire Agreement, which often times do not hold up,” Trump posted on Truth Social. [snip]
Trump’s various comments on the three-hour meeting with Putin mostly aligned with the public positions of Moscow, which says a full settlement will be complex because positions are “diametrically opposed”.
Putin signalled no movement in Russia’s long-held demands, which also include a veto on Kyiv’s desired membership in the NATO alliance. He made no mention in public of meeting Zelenskiy. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said a three-way summit had not been discussed.
In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Trump signalled that he and Putin had discussed land transfers and security guarantees for Ukraine, and had “largely agreed”.
“I think we’re pretty close to a deal,” he said, adding: “Ukraine has to agree to it. Maybe they’ll say ‘no’.” (our emphasis)
No shit, Sherlock! You may be close to a deal, but only with your supervisor. Ukraine and our European allies aren't likely to bite.
Can you imagine any other American President saying that a smaller country that was invaded by an imperialistic larger one should give in because they're not as big a power? The shame of that comment will haunt this country for years to come. The comparisons with Neville Chamberlain don't quite work because Hitler wasn't Chamberlain's supervisor. Chamberlain was stupid and naive, while the Malignant Fascist is stupid, naive, and evil.
Fortunately, some of our key European allies are going to present a unified front when they join Ukrainian President Zelinskyy at the White House tomorrow:
European leaders will join Volodymyr Zelenskiy at his high-stakes meeting with Donald Trump on Monday in Washington, a show of support as Ukraine’s leader faces growing US pressure to agree to a quick peace deal with Russia that involves ceding swaths of territory.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron have confirmed their participation. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will join the talks as well, according to Sky...
We're now reduced to hoping the Europeans stand up for Ukraine and against the Malignant Fascist's friend, war criminal Putin. We have far more faith in them than in our own kompromat President and his regime of sycophants.
How far this country has fallen.

As a nation, we have fallen into bad company.
