Government Shutdown's Ripple Effect Increasing

The ripple effect of the Trump / Republican government shutdown is being increasingly felt as we enter the fourth week of their shutdown.  The Associated Press reports that Los Angeles International Airport and airports in other cities like Chicago, Newark, Dallas and Washington had to temporarily halt flights due to a shortage of air traffic controllers:

"Flights departing for Los Angeles International Airport were halted briefly due to a staffing shortage at a Southern California air traffic facility, the Federal Aviation Administration said Sunday, when the agency also reported staffing-related delays in Chicago, Washington and Newark, New Jersey.

The FAA issued a temporary ground stop at one of the world’s busiest airports soon after U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy predicted that travelers would see more flights delayed and canceled in the coming days as the nation’s air traffic controllers work without pay during the federal government shutdown."

Pipsqueaker of the House Mike "Little" Johnson is also using the shutdown as an excuse to not swear in newly-elected Rep. Adelina Grijalva of Arizona, who would be the 218th vote necessary to pass the discharge petition to require the Justice Department to release the Epstein - Trump files.

In another development, the Malignant Fascist has announced that $5 billion in contingency funds won't be used to provide food aid into November, despite "finding" $20 billion in Federal funds to purchase Argentinian pesos to prop up his authoritarian friend Javier Milei.

The MF's regime and their drones in Congress haven't shown an interest in backing off of their plans to cut health insurance support to millions of Americans and other damaging acts, while imposing hardship on thousands of Federal workers, and private sector support personnel across the Government.  The public will get a good taste of what that means in their lives in the days and weeks ahead.
