A U.S. District Judge in Portland has temporarily blocked the deranged Malignant Fascist from deploying National Guard troops there, in order to distract from growing calls for the release of the Epstein - Trump files. Judge Karin Immergut, appointed by the MF in 2019, said in her ruling that the MF's regime failed to justify such a deployment. From the Associated Press:
"U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut issued the order pending further arguments in the suit. She said the relatively small protests the city has seen did not justify the use of federalized forces and allowing the deployment could harm Oregon’s state sovereignty.
'This country has a longstanding and foundational tradition of resistance to government overreach, especially in the form of military intrusion into civil affairs,' Immergut wrote. She later continued, 'This historical tradition boils down to a simple proposition: this is a nation of Constitutional law, not martial law.'
The Trump administration late Saturday filed a notice of appeal to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
State and city officials sued to stop the deployment last week, one day after the Trump administration announced that 200 Oregon National Guard troops would be federalized to protect federal buildings. The president called the city 'war-ravaged.'
Oregon officials said that characterization was ludicrous. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in the city has been the site of nightly protests that typically drew a couple dozen people in recent weeks before the deployment was announced." (our emphasis)
In her ruling, Immergut said that the MF's rationale for deploying the National Guard was "untethered to the facts," a condition that is reflected by the MF's core being (see, pathological liar). The MF and his hollow-eyed, sociopathic mini-me Stephen Miller are running into judicial obstacles as they attempt to use military deployments to Dem-run cities for their distraction efforts, and as a dry run for voter suppression in the 2026 mid-term elections and beyond. It appears that Chicago is the next on their list, as they look to provoke a fight with the city and with Dem Gov. JB Pritzker.
BONUS: While the MF golfs away the weekend, deputy Führer Miller goes after the judiciary for standing up to them in his own deranged way:
Stephen Miller again lashes out at the judiciary, suggesting federal judges are aiding and abetting domestic terrorism:

Miller's threat reminds us of the Sam Spade line in "The Maltese Falcon": "The cheaper the crook, the gaudier the patter."
