With the bigoted Malignant Fascist unleashing his ICE thugs on Hispanic communities, Hispanic voters have gotten the message that MAGA's not on their side. In Texas, the MF's attempt to gain seats in the House by redistricting relies on a solid core of self-defeating Hispanics to bring that about, but as Jason Easley notes in PoliticUSA.com, they are walking away from the MF and his anti-immigration attack:
"Trump won 55% of the Hispanic vote in Texas, and when Republicans set out to try to save their US House majority through gerrymandering, they counted on Texas and those Hispanics who voted for Trump in 2024.
When Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed the new map into law, he said, 'Four of the five districts that we’re going to create are predominantly Hispanic districts. Democrats think they have an ownership right to voters who are Hispanic or Black. They’re now learning the hard way those voters are supporting Republicans.' [Ed.: shitty little Gov. Abbott will be eating these words]
The Hispanic shift toward the Republican Party has been a talking point among national Republicans throughout 2025. The shift of black voters and young voters toward Republicans turned out to be a mirage of 2024 as those groups have sent Trump back to his usual low approval numbers, but the GOP has been telling anyone who will listen that Hispanics have moved in their direction, and they think that it is going to stick.
The idea is absurd on its surface. Trump has been deploying ICE to terrorize Hispanics in the United States since he took office. Trump assured Hispanics that he would only deport criminals, but it looks like Trump’s definition of criminal is pretty much anybody with brown skin.
The result has created a problem for Trump and the key piece of the Republican gerrymander strategy." (our emphasis)
If, according to Abbott, four of the new districts are now predominantly Hispanic districts, following the MF's orders to rig the districts in Texas to keep control of the House seems to be backfiring with the MF's cruel and indiscriminate use of force to harass Hispanics in their everyday lives. The cruel bigotry of the MF and his regime toward Hispanics (excluding right-wing Cubans for now) should help ensure his defeat at the polls in Texas in 2026.

🤞 I sure hope the disillusioned here in TX will join me in voting on Nov. 4. We need to tell Abbott/GOP that we won't enshrine their greed and hate in constitutional amendments! Abbott/GOP want low-voter turnout so they can get no tax on capital gains and inherited estates; more denial of bail for the marginalized; fewer property taxes to fund public schools; and, of course, "parents make decisions for their kids" & "only citizens can vote." Because the Dems wanna trans-ify kids at school and let "illegals" vote!...even though these are lies and are already codified in law!! 🤬 So, please Dems VOTE!! 🙏 👍
