Trump's Last Minute U-Turn On Epstein Vote

 

Last night in a post on his failing "Truth" Social, the sexual predator Malignant Fascist announced that he's now supportive of a vote in the House to pass the bill to require the release of the Epstein - Trump files.  Expecting to be rebuffed on a vote on the bill by a wide margin, the MF is looking to save face, but is likely playing games over the files.  From the HuffPost:

"The president’s shift is an implicit acknowledgement that supporters of the measure have enough votes to pass it the House, although it has an unclear future in the Senate.

It is a rare example of Trump backtracking because of opposition within the GOP. In his return to office and in his second term as president, Trump has largely consolidated power in the Republican Party.

“I DON’T CARE!” Trump wrote in his social media post. “All I do care about is that Republicans get BACK ON POINT.”

Lawmakers who support the bill have been predicting a big win in the House this week with a “deluge of Republicans” voting for it, bucking the GOP leadership and the president." (our emphasis)

Just days ago, the MF ordered a distracting investigation be launched against alleged Dem and financial associates of convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, including former President Bill Clinton.  The MF's corrupt consigliere, Attorney General Pam Bondi agreed and assigned the investigation to MAGAt U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton.  Many see deception in the MF's sudden conversion to openness, and it involves Bondi again:

DOJ will only release what the Committee is “legally entitled” to. Pam Bondi and Trump just started a politically motivated investigation of Democrats with ties to Epstein in order to prevent the release of any of these files . . . Due to “active investigation. Never believe a word they say .

Okay. So 1 of 2 things happened. Trump is now suddenly saying release the Epstein files. Either the DOJ & FBI are now finished destroying all evidence of Trump, Or Bondi is going to say they can’t release it due to an ongoing investigation.

Epstein file release bill sponsor Rep. Thomas Massie also presumes the "investigations" into a Dem - Epstein connection is a smokescreen to thwart the ultimate release of the files. From Politico:

"Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) dismissed the Justice Department’s investigation into the late Jeffrey Epstein’s ties to notable Democrats as 'a last-ditch effort to prevent the release of the Epstein files.'

'If they have ongoing investigations in certain areas, those documents can’t be released,' Massie told ABC’s Jonathan Karl on 'This Week' on Sunday. 'So, this might be a big smokescreen, these investigations, to open a bunch of them to, as a last-ditch effort to prevent 

the release of the Epstein files.'"

This latest maneuver on the Epstein - Trump files is vintage MF, distraction to fight another day in another way.  He hasn't had a sudden conversion because he has a very good idea of what the files contain, and it's a disaster for him.
